The food on other tables smelled great. We went because they advertise a brunch .. it is not but actually bottomless alcohol (mimosas or bloody marys). How irresponsible! Then order off the menu .. a few breakfast items...after all three of us ordered a breakfast item that included a couple of pancakes, bacon or sausage, cubed potatoes, 2 eggs ... Since my friends have diabetes they asked to mix the sugar topping mentioned in the menu. The food took so long, asked the server a few times if it was getting close ..think we were waiting for well over an hour. When it was finally at the table, she let us know there was only one order of pancakes still available so as a courtesy, they were taking those meals off the bill and we could order something else. We said, we've got other places to go, no time to wait for another thing to be made or not told it wasn't available. My friend noticed her eggs weren't over easy, but totally missing the yolks. The potatoes were too cold to feel comfortable eating. And the set of pancakes were so stale, even my service dog refused them. We chose this location over the one closer to my friends' home because of the falsely advertised brunch.. the other franchised location more accurately advertises a drink special. While the location setting is beautiful, the service was horribly slow and they didn't even know they didn't have enough pancakes to warm up....my friend asked for sugar free syrup before we realized the pancakes that were going to arrive were unfit for a dog's willingness to consume, and the server said we don't have that since this is a Mexican restaurant... But it's one that is selling the breakfast item. Again, the most horrible restaurant experience I've had in almost 60 years of memory. Yes, the manager did take everything off our ticket, but truly our time was wasted here and we drove a longer distance (almost an hour) because of the anticipation of the 'brunch'. Chips were cold and stale, salsa was...

There wasn't something that needed to be fixed for my visit, I just wasn't impressed by the food and the ambience is not what I would look for if I was choosing the restaurant. I went because a friend picked it for lunch and I would never go back unless someone else really wanted to go there. I'm sure you've got your regulars and people like my friend seem to like it, I'm just not a fan of restaurants cut from the same cloth as Applebee's or Chili's. I care more about the flavors in a sauce than the look of the menu or serving size.
I do think it was "fair" for me to give 2 stars (meaning: I don't like it) with no explanation - there is no requirement to comment. I'm going to take the liberty to recommend that you don't ever say "we feel it is unfair" to a customer, I don't think it's going to get you any new or return business or make you sound like you are confident in making customers happy to someone reading the review. If you would have stopped with asking me what the problem was then I would actually have respected the request but it sounded like you were whining by the end and no customer owes you anything but the money due for the food and service. Of course, respect for humans and your property is expected...but you're in business! Bad reviews come! Make tomorrow's food awesome, and your target market happy. I'm...
Read moreSeems like the restaurant is going through a change or something. I have been eating Chevy's for over a decade, and this was the worst experience i have had. no one came to our table for 10 minutes (no crowd). The waitress finally took our order and told us she was not supposed to be sat. Forgot to bring our drink twice after apologizing for forgetting. Then the wrong food came out... not just messed up but completely different food (while reading the correct order to us) we said that was wrong. they walked away and brought the same wrong food back and said that was what they had. I usually never complain even if the food is wrong (slightly), but I was done. I tried to pay for my drinks and leave. The manager who looked wore down and busy came over to talk even though I did not ask for a manager. The only saving grace was the manager that day who was very professional, and if I had to guess, it was dealing with major stafffing issues. Chevy's....if it was not for the manager, I would not be going back. I will give it some time and try again... They were usually phenomenal except for the obe ver bad experience.....I could not begin to list all the issues that day but that...
