First Watch — Restaurant in University City

GREAT SERVICE AND AWESOME BREAKFAST ! My fiance and I started off with the coffee with the free refills love love love the taste. They give you a whole canister full and pour whenever you need a refill which is nice. I ordered the turkey biscuits and gravy my new favorite. My fiance ordered the Belgian waffle oh my gosh it was perfect and the side blueberry sauce that came with it was outta this world. Service was Great, I didn't catch her name but it was a blonde woman she was very attentive and always had a smile on her face. Food came up super quick I was so surprised because of how busy they were. Location is great parking was super easy and plentiful. Who ever the manager that runs this place I just want to say Thank you and you're fantastic job. Keep up the great work everyone ! Will definitely be back possibly every weekend. Great options without being overwhelming. I had the breakfast tacos with chicken instead if chorizo, and black beans for the side dish. Every bite was delicious and I liked that the tacos were served on a little rack that keeps them from getting soggy on the plate! My granddaughter had banana pancakes and breakfast potatoes. Soooo good. The coffee was hot and strong just like I like it. I also had a healthy drink with turmeric and ginger that was surprisingly tasty. Usually I just hold my nose and down a ginger shot. The best part was our server, whose name is ROSE! She was welcoming and helpful when I couldn't decide what to order. Very lovely person, attentive but not obtrusive. The place gets crowded on Saturday morning. We arrived around 9:30 and the place was packed but starting to thin out. Great experience. Sub par I watched them throw away food the cost for a side of avacado was outrageous and put my bill way out of budget. I decided not to buy it and instead of the courtesy of giving the food to the paying customer because they knew they would throw it in the trash they wasted an opportunity to do good instead of wasting food ...sad to see..left a very bad taste in my mouth.. another reason I prefer Brentwood the customer courtesy is amazing there !
