ShareSweet — Restaurant in Olivette

⚠️ Caution ⚠️ I had a frustrating experience at this store. Despite being unable to provide service, they charged me. To make matters worse, the owner blamed that on me.

I walked in after leaving a nearby restaurant, drawn by the open door and lights. I used their ordering machine for drinks. An employee looked at me briefly and went to the kitchen. After ordering, the machine "charged" me. Shortly, the same employee said they weren't open yet. I questioned why they took orders if closed, but clearly they hired someone who doesn't really speak English. I used Google Translate to ask him to call the owner.

Unfortunately, things got worse when the owner answered. Instead of helping, the owner unfairly blamed me and even asked why I ordered. It's ridiculous! They kept the door open, had a working order machine, and charged people, yet I was blamed for using them. The owner wanted me to wait 30 more minutes to cancel, saying that they are not familiar with their own system.

I used to visit occasionally, but I won't return. Their lack of accountability and customer service is...

ShareSweet is next to a really delicious Chinese restaurant. This is a family run business that does its best to bring customers a satisfying experience.

I ordered a jasmine milk tea that tasted good. It wasn’t too milky or too sweet. We also ordered the strawberry toast. It took awhile to serve to us and we realized why!

The toast is hollowed out. Each piece that is hollowed out gets toasted in buttery goodness and then puzzle-pieced back together. Topped off with strawberries and strawberry ice cream, this dessert is delicious! This dessert is great for sharing but difficult for one person to finish if they’ve eaten beforehand.

Super weird and misleading menu prices--For example, the drink's name is "Jasmine Milk Tea with Boba" for $6.5, but I have to select "No Boba" on the Kiosk to get the $6.5 price. So, it's not "...with Boba" then. It's Jasmine Milk Tea without the Boba for $6.5.

You tried too much to upsell customers by requiring them to add toppings. And Boba should come with the drink, hence the name "boba milk tea."

I stopped buying from Kung Fu Tea on Delmar because of this stupid practice.

Now I'm done and I won't return. I am all for small businesses, but this is an unacceptable practice. I won't mind paying $7, but I am deeply upset to add another $0.75 to get boba in my "boba tea."
