Though I was not a patron, I was formerly a cook and feel that my input is just as relevant. I am suprised this establishment hasn't fallen to the wayside already given it's (possibly previous) toxic work environment. I was cost a promotion (and employment) due to being lied to about a meeting date. I was pushed aside to make room for Dan. He was instantly made the kitchen manager without any previous experience due to being the brother of the head chef. I am giving Brewskys the 5 star treatment after reading others reviews and noting that the poor reviews appears to taper off around 3 years ago. Did Brewskys clean house and give Danny boy his walking papers, who knows? I always appreciated the owner Jim and hoped he'd come to see that good leadership is vital in the service industry. Before Brewskys, I worked at Tony Romas (owned by Grandmother's)performing all varieties of restaurant work. They sold their location for a large amount of cash and left me in need of a job, which led to being employed by Brewskys. After Brewskys, I went back to work for my former boss @ Grandmother's Restaurant on 84th and L St. I was a cook and maker of omelets and waffles for Sunday brunch buffet. Their business was on the way back up in a major way, yet closed in the blink of eye due...
Read moreI'm new in town & this is my first football season from home. I looked online for best places to watch the Superbowl in Omaha & Brewsky's came up in an article from 2016, I figured I'll give it a shot.
It wasn't really busy at all, which I liked.. don't like crowded bars. They had the game on multiple televisions on different sides, beer & burger specials, & like the 2016 article, still did this frequent drawings every 15 minutes for silly prizes. Every item you bought got you a ticket. Made it more fun.
I had 2 double burgers on special, which were ok. They weren't the best I've had, but coming with fries & they were only $5.50 each, I couldn't complain. My total tab came out to just under $34 for those & 4 draft Angry Orchards as I don't drink regular beer. Not bad considering. The servers were friendly too & were very attentive to me being a table by myself.
Another impressive small but important detail to me - the ketchup on the tables is the natural kind without the high fructose corn syrup. Most places (even higher end) have the cheap stuff & it hurts my stomach, they had the good stuff so no complaints there.
I will definitely be back there the next Superbowl the Patriots are in!...

Been to this location dozens of times since moving back in 2019, and it’s the same thing: -Great for kids! -Quick (too quick on food); Nothing homemade on the menu. All frozen and comes in a few mins usually unless busy. -beer is cold!
Pictures are of nachos with water at the bottom, explained as “juices from cheese sauce and chicken”, after asking “is that normal?” Same thing a year ago when we found a hair in salsa and was told it was from the chicken juices and homemade cheese sauce. (Guessing cheese is made with powder and/or chicken wasn’t strained, which is why the food came out in 5min and was warm, borderline cold).
Definitely recommend for cold beer when your kid as at an urban air party, or if you have a young one that wants to play a couple video games while you have adult time. But, not for a good meal. Such a great location, just no care behind the food.
Just my two cents! Far cry away from the brewskys back in the day where you could taste homemade in nearly everything (tuna melt was the best). They were the standard of sports bar then and hope they make changes to...
