12/23/18 We come here when we are using the "Fox 42 Steakhouse Tour" card. This was our third visit since my last review in 2016 and I think their good points outweigh their bad points, so I’ve changed may rating. One of the first things you will notice is the rolls are served hot. They really taste good. Easy to eat too many. The Onion Rings are crisp but not greasy, even though they serve them resting on a paper napkin, the napkin do not have grease on it. I think these are some of the best in town. The salad still come with a lot of dressing, but if it is thick style like Thousand Island or Blue Cheese, you can remove some of it, otherwise I hope you like a lot of dressing on your salad. For me they cook the steaks almost perfect. I asked for a “Pittsburg style”, but they said they didn’t have a grill that got hot enough to prepare one, but they would do their best. Well, they prepared a pretty good imitation. The sear was good, just not charred, but the center was cool. My wife’s steaks have always been prepared a perfect medium well, just the way she likes it. The meat s always juicy and tender. Since coming to Omaha, I am also getting used to having my baked potato served to me wrapped in aluminum foil with a tube of sour cream side, in very good restaurants, so I can’t hold that against them. Unfortunately, for our tastes, the pasta meals are on the bland side. The pasta is cooked the way we like it, but the sauces need more spices. Maybe we are used “American” Italian cooking, and this is more traditional, I don’t know. If it were only a steakhouse, I’d give it a four-star rating, but since it is also an Italian restaurant that we do not find appealing, I can only give it thee-stars, but your tastes in Italian foods may be different than mine, so go for it.

I'll start with the positive our waitress was super sweet . The steak was well seasoned, but for the price of the steak, it was very small and not worth it, in my opinion. You do get free bread, which apparently most restaurants dont do anymore, so that was nice. Also for the loaded baked potato there was a heaping mound of sour cream and a few measly pieces of bacon and cheese that they charge you extra for, which wouldn't be an issue if it was actually loaded. As for the toasted raviolis, they weren't horrible, but for the price, i could easily go to the store and buy ravioli's and make them for half of what they are charging and they would probably have more flavor. They also didn't have the full dinner menu, so there wasn't a whole lot to choose from .when i called about making a reservation, they should have made me aware that they weren't serving the full menu, and i would have gone somewhere else . The lasagna sauce tasted like it came from a can with baked parm cheese from a plastic bottle and very little noodles . For the price , i was expecting a big plate of lasagna, and it was more like a side dish at best .Reading the reviews, i had high hopes, and this place just didn't do it. The salad was just iceburg lettuce in a bowl with 3 black olives and some banana peppers. It seemed like they were just trying to get rid of what they had left over in the kitchen and throw it into anything they possibly could . Definitely not the best in Omaha! Go somewhere else and get your moneys worth Cheers!

Ordered to go from Cascio's steakhouse at lunch time due to other plans I had. I would have liked to sit in the restaurant because it was a very lovely place. They had mood lighting which made me feel like I was in a fancy restaurant looking at delicious food. The tables were set up in circles so that people could look at each other and talk altogether instead of in lines, which I like better. People can all look at each other and talk together in the circles. The other part of the room had a bar area and a fireplace with more tables that were set up for people that would come to enjoy drinks and chat together. It looked like a nice place to just relax and enjoy the warm fire due to the weather being cold outside all day long. The bar area was very long and had a variety of alcohol and drinks and liquor for people to drink with options. The food I got was Working Man's Steak and New York Strip both ordered medium rare. The meat was cooked to perfection and had the best flavor of any steak I have tried before, it was heavenly. The lunch came with a baked potato, salad, pasta, bread and butter. The steaks came with a lot of food, which I did not realize until I got my order. All of the food was very delicious, I will definitely go back there when I am in town again. Highly recommend the steaks and the overall experience, it was delicious and tasty.

I'll start with the good. As far as fries go, they were above average. Their steaks would maybe have been OK if cooked to order.

We were 8 people seated at a table with two glasses of water already present and had been for at least some bit of time based on the condensation rather than to start our table off. No bread was ever brought to the table despite being available that night nor did it come after being pointed out and requested once salads arrived. Once the steaks arrived 2 of the 3 that were ordered medium arrived rare despite the medium-rare arriving just fine. The third medium was closer to medium rare as well. Everything else was average; no complaints, but nothing amazing. The two biggest issues though were one meal never having made it out to us even 15 minutes after everyone else was completely finished eating (personally I'm a fast eater, but most of the rest of the group certainly aren't) and, far worse, the manager's reaction to our being bothered by it. The closest they came to a professional decision all night was allowing us to cancel that order after so much time had passed. While leaving, we discussed the required 20% gratuity for tables of 8 or more mentioned on their menu since only 7 were actually served and even then fairly poorly. The manager's response was how little servers make as a base wage which, having been one myself I understand, as well as saying that it's actually table of 6 or more that has that requirement contrary to what the menu says and despite absolutely no signage anywhere else indicating that. This falsehood alone isn't just worth a poor Google review, it's flat out Better Business Bureau complaint worthy for demonstrably lying to customers. Ultimately they DID take the 20% and still expected a further tip for the waitress. The 20% should have been enough, so demanding more considering the circumstances was ludicrous. However, we did ultimately tip her with some cash because to be perfectly honest at this point we worried, based on the manager if she'd actually see any of the "required" 20% herself.

Maybe other days the service is better, but if you want to spend top dollar for average food, that's your business. However, I can't recommend you do so here if only because it supports that kind...

Went there for the first time last week. Took my wife for our anniversary. When we first walked in, it was a big open space, to the right at some area that looked to be an old bar. There were a bunch of old tequila bottles for sale. Empty tequila bottles, with a sign that said they were still good as a vase or decorations. As we entered farther, there were two video gambling machines, like the kind you see at a casino or gas station in South Dakota. The place was quite large, and with that, it was quite empty. We were seated at a table and were greeted by our waitress, who seemed ok until she asked if we were celebrating anything. One I said, "Our 22nd wedding anniversary," we were met with a most awful look, as if she was standing on a live wire with 1,000 volts. She did take our order for an appetizer and then left. We started to look around to see the amount of mirrors around, mirror walls, and mirror decor on the walls, and it made the empty space twice as large and was very dated. Then I noticed the music playing, power ballads from the late 70s. At this time, I looked about to see we were the youngest patrons there. The other 2 couples were all into their 70s. It began to have a feeling of an old dive bar where only a few people still visit out of familiarity with these red flags we decided to stay. Our onion rings came out, and we're more pale than a 14th-century Transilvanian, and had no flavor. Yet another red flag. We decided to press on and order food, that when also was the most bland steaks ever. We asked for medium, but we're served well done, chewy steaks. We maybe took a few bites and decided we had had enough. The bill came for just under a hundred dollars. Paid the bill and left being there a mere 20 minutes. I will give them that, they were fast with the food, but using a mircowave and no seasoning is always quick. As we made out way past the many empty tables, we went to the front and asked for the manager, who was the same 50 some year old man who seated us. It took a moment to get his attention as he was flirting with some 20 year old hostess. We made our complaint, and without an offer of resolution, we left. We will...

I'll start off by saying how happy I am that tonight wasn't a special occasion or I would have felt absolutely terrible. We wanted to go out for a nice dinner, and Cascio's was a big mistake. To start off, our waitress was absolutely terrible. When you order a meal, they ask you what you'd like in terms of pasta and salad dressing. I thought this was all very nice. I order salad without dressing. The waitress brings us one salad with ranch and tells us we can just share it. I let it go without saying anything because I had the vegetable soup. I'm not a picky person, I've never written a bad review online before, but the soup tasted as if it was just dumped out of a can. And don't even get me started on the bland pasta sauce. I ordered the filet, medium well. The description for medium well was "broiled all the way through" or something along those lines. And it was one step below well done which was described as dry. My steak was bright red in the middle, I mean the cow was practically still breathing. I'm not one to send things back, but I just asked to have it cooked a little more. I'm assuming it was the manager who brought my steak back, he commented rudely that he had him cook it until he almost burned it, or something along those lines. I thanked him and when I cut into it... still RED. By this point in time I just asked for the bill. Our waitress made comments the entire time and ended by commenting that I didn't eat very much. All of this combined with the cramped tables and harsh light... definitely somewhere I will never eat again. And I'm telling everyone I know.

Of course you should make your own opinion of this place, but I'd just hate to see someone visit here for a special occasion or anniversary. Check it out first so you don't leave on your anniversary with an experience similar to mine.

I'd also like to not that after all of this they didn't credit the bill or anything. I left hungry and unsatisfied. I'm pretty sure my name will be published on here, and what's sad is I...
