3 stars because I took away a star for each 2 errors they had today.
Pros: Espresso is always good and one of my fav coffee spots.
Cons: My hot latte today was lukewarm, at best. I could have thrown it on my face and experienced no pain or burns lmao.
Let’s get to the errors. I try to keep an open mind. I drink the lukewarm latte, I accept my fate that I do not apparently deserve a hot drink today. Fine. Flavor is on point.
I order a chocolate donut and am asked if I ordered a sprinkled donut. No star deducted for this because they made an effort to ask :)
Error 1: I ordered a cinnamon roll and am handed some type of pastry with nuts. I had to tell them I did not order this, I ordered a cinnamon roll. …. Like…not even remotely close to what was ordered. At this point I felt like I was speaking gibberish because I’m so confused on how this could possibly be misheard and messed up. (Mistakes are normal but cmon; it would make more sense to mistake a cookie for a cinnamon roll lol)
Error 2: I ordered an asiago bagel with jalapeño cream cheese. I get outside and notice I received an everything bagel with regular cream cheese. Major bummer. At this point I don’t go inside because I’m not standing in a long line to fix something so simple.
So alas, I finish my now cold latte (the “hot” latte that I ordered less than 3 minutes ago LOL) and eat the bagel and cream cheese that I did not prefer. Not worth going back in to fix when I have a bus to catch and I’m not getting stuck down here for another hour for another bus. Thanks for trying though! This was a pretty basic order but apparently this location cares more about looking hip and stylish than you know, actually doing their job correctly and listening to customers to prevent errors, communicating the correct orders to other employees, and being knowledgeable about their POS system to prevent easily...
Read moreFirst timer. Only timer. Asked for a large iced chai.
$10.00 W/Tip
The large - it’s a medium gas station at BEST. The build of the drink itself was absolute barbaric. Why would you put ice in immediately? It watered it down way too much and for the size - it was NOT iced. I watched as the barista pulled the shots. Machine was pulling WAY TOO SLOW to allow proper taste. They also allowed the shots to oxidize all the way before adding to the cup. All the while not having any sense of urgency to ensure it wasn’t bitter. By the time I got to my truck half the ice was melted and the drink was already separating. Tasted like day old espresso. 10/10 do not recommend. How to build the drink properly should be revisited. The calibration on the espresso machine should probably be looked at & the lines should be cleaned to get that bitter taste out. This place should NOT be making espresso drinks to the public.
I came home and immediately pulled my own espresso and took the photo attached. Here is a photo of what healthy shots look like vs a dead/bitter/oxidized espresso shot.
The left: a healthy shot. 3 layers of color/creamy texture.
The right: the same shot. In less than 10 seconds. All the colors merged into one dark brown almost black color. Tastes bitter and pungent.
The difference in taste is real. The difference in training/retraining will surprise you. You probably shouldn’t have people behind the counter if they aren’t willing to make them correct or even be...
Read moreBeen back recently and everything is still pretty much the same.
I'm missing details on this coffee shop because I wasn't able to try their coffee since they didn't have decaf stocked that day.
They work with @nicerollz for their food I believe. There were breakfast sandwiches from them. For taste and flavor it's a 5 star.
The kimchi croissant was a nice hint of kimchi that didn't overwhelm. 7.50
The biscuit I could not taste the gojuchang sauce... But I'm ok with that because I'm not necessarily that fond of it. 7 dollars
Looking forward to going back and trying the coffee offerings. Assuming it's coffee is great I'll update the star rating.
Parking is available on the side and there is another parking lot further back and and to the left if you are looking at the building. There is of course the street parking as well. All...
