Last night, we went to Dave & Buster's to celebrate my nephew's 10th birthday. Typically, we go to FFC to save money so I wasn't aware that new cards cost $3 (includes 15 "chips"). The employees try to be kind. The guy at the register was patient when we couldn't decide how many 'chips' to get for the kids. I highly suggest you look at the process for playing games on the website, sign up for coupons there, too! The virtual reality game is $5 a ride for 3 minutes and I loved it. I felt like I was at Jurassic park. I wish movies were like that! Ju-Ju is a small 10 year old and I'm a bigger girl but we all fit comfortably together. One ride-operator line takes the money, loads the play onto the cards. Then the other operator line sanitizes the headsets between use, helps adjust the headsets, runs the ride tokens off the card, checks the seatbelts, lifts the stairs up/down, answers questions from curious 10 year olds, and tries to keep us aware of where to sit based on size. GREAT TO KNOW TIP: On a noisy, fast-paced, packed night, the ride operator can load 'chips' on to your card so you dont have to wait in the slow line up front. Last night, the place had to shut down due to low water pressure. They issued a partial refund and gave us a coupon for BOGO $20 next visit. I know the kids had fun (except JuJu only played 1 game).

Our trip today, 6/22/19, was so disappointing. Our kids (6 of them) are ages 2 to 15 and our 11 year old is on crutches, so we were really looking for some high quality family fun that everyone could participate in. Thankfully, the games and prizes delivered for the children. My husband and I were able to enjoy ourselves AFTER the meal, too, but we almost walked out from the moment we entered the restaurant. Here's why: 1. The hostess was super rude. She did not say hi, made no eye contact, was visibly annoyed that there were 8 of us and not the initial 4 she visually assessed, even though she didn't ask me how many, I had to say, "excuse me, there are 8 of us" when I noticed she was trying to walk away with 4 menus. The only thing she said at all was "how many kids menus?" before she turned abruptly and stomped to our table. 2. We were sat at a large table and the server made my kids shout their orders at him rather than walking around. And he was also visibly annoyed that they had to keep repeating themselves....like, dude, just walk the 4 steps over there. 3. We splurged on our daughters' drinks and let all 3 of them get this $4+ slushie/gummy worms concoction. After we ordered, the server was snappy about getting the menus back, so while we were all rushing to comply, my 2 year old dumped her slushie all over the table. So, the server makes an irritated sound equivalent to mine and my husband's....again..like, dude, we're guests here, you're not her dad..you don't have rights to audible exasperation sounds over her actions.....Then he goes, "I'll be right back." So I'm thinking, "oh, he'll bring her a little refill with a few worms and a rag to help or something." NEVER.CAME.BACK. 2 different people brought out our food. We cleaned up the sticky slushie mess ourselves with their terrible non-absorbent polyester napkins and her 4 year old sister shared her slushie with her sister. I mean, fine, don't bring a refill for a spilled luxe drink, but at least come back to take care of the sticky!! 4. The food. Yuck. The pictures can speak for themselves. We ordered chicken cantina nachos. The menu picture is the second photo shared here and the delivered goods are the first. They were topped with this weird brown stuff that we think was maybe steak they accidentally added, but still have no real idea. There was a total of 3.5 jalepenos on the whole thing and maybe a tablespoon of an almost kind of pico de Gallo mix. The kids meals were average. 5. The server tracked my husband down in the game area to pay the bill. I can give some grace for this being a practical defense against people skipping out, but really, if youre that worried about it use some common sense and keep track of when it looks like we might be ready to finish up eating and catch us before we're half way through our game time. It's so rude and we have 4 kids that need direct to nearly direct supervision. I would be hard pressed to return to Dave and Buster's again. It was supposed to be a fun treat for everyone. I will say our family made the best of it, and as I said, the games were great. The lady that did our prize check out for my daughters was nice and sweet to them. But I am pretty grossed out by the food and offended by the inhospitable service in general.

Used to be a decent place to take the kids but now it seems most of the games are setup so you get less tickets or simply broken, the claw machines are stuffed so tight they are unwinnable, and the smaller prizes break within a day, this establishment has definitely went downhill and I used to go three to four times a week... *Updated to add the fact they are adding new games but now there are VERY limited 'big ticket' prizes available in the Win for ticket redemption. Still loads of games nonfunctional on our last visit unfortunately. *2nd update - multiple broken games again this week and the prizes in the win are becoming absolutely ridiculous as compared to other major arcades. I hope you have your heart set on cheap garbage for prizes because that's all they have nowadays it seems... *3rd update - more big ticket prizes available and less games broken this visit but we decided to have a bite to eat as well and it was hands down the worst meal in quite a while. Absolutely everything except the fries was cold including our half rack of ribs, ribeye steak, chicken cordon Bleu, and burger. I won't even mention the quality of the other side dishes.. I would definitely avoid eating here until I do something about their kitchen... 3rd update - just save the disappointment and drive to the new location in Des Moines, twice as big with all the newest games! That said the selection of prizes is no better in Des Moines unfortunately and let's not even get me started on the $100 in disgusting free food I was awarded as a prize....

First time being here, and it was pretty decent. We brought our family to play in the arcade (We had just gone out to eat across the street beforehand so we didn't eat or drink anything). Other than the extremely loud games, it was lots of fun. They had a special going, the night (Wednesday) we were there, so the games were half the normal credits. So. much. fun! We paid less than $30 and got about an hour and a half of enjoyment with our family of 6 (each person taking their own turns on 1 card). Not bad at all. We figured it was less than $5 a person. Some of the games were malfunctioning because some earlier players had messed them up. When I brought it to the attention of the game attendant Jose, he contacted Jake (or Jacob?), and he made it right and did it with a smile. Fabulous Customer Service! We had just left Chuck E Cheeses earlier in the evening with less than stellar feelings because of employee's lack of attention to game function. We felt that Jake/Jacob, Jose, and the other employees at D & B's appreciated that we were choosing to spend time in their establishment. That gave us a great first impression, and we are very likely to return again in the future.

Upon arrival, noticed a huge section closed. "Remodeling" i was told. They didn't have as many TV screens as I envisioned. But one of the projector screen had closed captioning for the football game so that was nice. Their chicken parmesan with linguine was average. It tasted a LOT like Wal-Mart's frozen chicken where you cook in a toaster and then add the cheese and sauce near the end. Exactly like that. The Flatbread pizza dough tasted like it was frozen or one of those prepared dough where you grab and make. (I seriously doubt it was fresh dough) pepperoni was average. Cheese average and the tomato sauce in areas were satisfactory but lacking in others. My friend who ordered the crispy cauliflower remarked it was average which I didn't try because I don't like cauliflower. For the price, I expected better. One of the butter knife had water spots, easily cleaned off but shows inattentive to drying of dishes. This place would have gotten a 2 star rating except for an awesome waiter named "Ed"(Sept 15) and his amazing service that merited an whole star by himself. Save your money and go elsewhere I would say.

This place was phenomenal! Our server, Melissa, was really friendly and nice, and the food was spectacular. There were a lot of games, and you could definitely hear them 😅. A wonderful arcade to have amazing food and play fun games with the family or a date.
