There are some restaurants that just feel like home, and for me, that's Runza. It's a true Midwestern gem, offering a unique and delicious experience you won't find anywhere else. The star of the show, of course, is the Runza sandwich. It's a simple concept—seasoned ground beef and cabbage baked inside a warm, pillow-soft pocket of dough—but it's executed to perfection. It's savory, comforting, and utterly addictive. The best part is that you can get it classic or with cheese, Swiss cheese and mushrooms, or even with bacon and cheese, giving you a delicious variety of options to choose from. Don't sleep on the rest of the menu, though. The crinkle-cut fries are perfectly crispy and salty, a fantastic side for any sandwich. But the real showstopper for many is the Frings, a delightful combination of french fries and onion rings that's an absolute must-try. And let's not forget the milkshakes—they're thick, creamy, and a perfect way to end your meal. The staff is always friendly and the service is quick, making it a reliable and enjoyable spot for a quick lunch or a family dinner. Runza isn't just a fast-food joint; it's a Nebraska tradition that delivers on flavor and comfort every...
Read moreWe came in from out of town to see family my wife and I grew up in Omaha and we thought we should go get some Runza. We hadn’t had it in many years when we went to Runza on 132nd and center we went through the drive-thru. The girl that took our order Was very snippy we ordered a few Swiss mushroom runzas with add bacon and a few other things we were charged for the bacon and got Swiss mushroom runzas With no bacon and we are charged $.90 per Runza that was supposed to have bacon on it and did not get what we paid for The french fries were soggy, and when we got to the window, the service was pitiful. They basically shoved our food out the window. and closed the window rude as hell and here is the kicker when I was a kid I used to work at this Runza, and it was ran a lot better than this. Our managers at the time would not have let this fly. Customer service is everything and the quality of your food is what people remember this is unfortunate that this location has fallen so far it has been around for a very long time. I worked for a few different runza locations and I understand fully that this is not the way Runza wants their stores run. Hopefully the problem...

During this season of COVID-19, I've had to do a lot of dining or picnicking in my car with so many restaurant lobbies being closed. But it hasn't stopped the drive throughs of those same places from serving patrons that want to keep people working. Trying an original Runza was a first for me at the insistence of my co-worker. Why did I listen to her? Now I'm hooked! In fact, when I told the clerk that this was my first visit, he assured me that I would be back and he was right. The bread is so soft and flavorful and the meat stuffing addicting. As I was told, you have to try the sandwich with ranch dressing. It takes the flavor up another notch. Overall:This sandwich is filling on its own. If you have a big appetite try the Runa meal that comes with fries (so good) and a...
