Edit: It's been about 6 months since I've visited any Pepperjax because of my last experience. I was treated like I was a two year old by the obnoxious manager. I had posted this on the facebook page on January 19, 2014: "Just had the worst experience ever at the 132nd and center location!!! I was mouthed off to by a shift manager. I thought managers are supposed to be role models for the rest of the employees. You might want to look into whoever the manager was today at 5pm. My husband and I will be taking our business elsewhere after this disaster and have no future visits in our sights. We have been going to this location once a week for the past 5 years and the tradition has now been broken. We drive all the way from south Omaha, by the zoo, to go to this location because it has usually been the best location. Shame on you pepperjax!" I was then told to contact the district manager. I wrote him an e-mail saying the same exact thing. The only thing I ever heard from him was that he would check into it. That was about 3 days after the situation happened. I have not heard one thing since then from anyone at Pepperjax and am very disappointed.
They seemed like a company who really cares about their employees AND their customers. Now I know the truth. They only care about the customers to put another dollar in their pocket and make the CEO's more money. So much for a small business. As they expand their locations they are losing their customer satisfaction. Pretty soon it will be like McDonald's where your order will be wrong, you'll be treated like crap, and the employees would prefer that no one go out for dinner that day.
Original Post: The best Pepperjax in the Omaha area hands down. Other locations aren't near as friendly (I've been mouthed off to at 3 other locations which is completely uncalled for). Anyway, at this location when you as for a lot of something to go on your rice bowl or in your wrap, they give you a lot. Example - You ask for a lot of black olives they give you a big handful. Most other locations give you a whole 5 olives!
We drive across Omaha just to go to this location if we are going to Pepperjax. The one down town is closest but we hate going down town so we won't be visiting that location. The Council Bluffs location is second closest but the service there sucks.
To sum it up, if you want to go to Pepperjax, go to this one. Best service, best food, easiest parking lot to get in and out of, just...
ย ย ย Read moreIf I could give no stars I would. I have been to this location 3 times now. The first time I ordered a rice bowl, and they donโt even put cilantro seasoning and lemon juice in their rice like every pepperjax is supposed to. I used to work at the one on park drive and on pacific, so I know how itโs supposed to be made. So the bowl wasnโt good at all and it had no flavor because they literally used plain white rice. The second time I went was a couple days ago and before I ordered my rice bowls I asked them specifically if they put all that stuff in the rice and the employee lied and told me yes(if they would have just told me the truth I would have ordered a Philly) I went through the drive through and ordered so they listed out everything I told them to put on both bowls. I got home and they put black and pinto beans on both bowls(I am allergic to beans) I called and told them that they had messed up my bowls, and they wrote my name down for two free bowls the next time I came in. So I went back tonight again asked the same question about the rice and they lied to me again. Which again if they would have just told me they didnโt make the rice like that today I would have ordered something I actually liked. But they didnโt. I got home and again my bowl was messed up. Normally I am not one to complain, but I spent $25 on two rice bowls and they couldnโt even be made right. The customer service at this location is extremely terrible. If you want pepperjax I recommend the one on park drive or the one on pacific, because this location is...
ย ย ย Read moreWe have been going to the old location across the street ever since it opened (well over a decade?) and I have had literally hundreds of great sandwiches there and to go. I went to the new location and unfortunately will never go back. Previously, you would walk in, be greeted by the friendly grill station attendant, they would take your order and make it exactly as you wanted it. You get it fresh off the line and enjoy. Now, they are all hidden around the corner with their back to you. We stood at the register for 5 mins before being acknowledged, then another 3-4 mins waiting to be helped. We did order and the order took way too long to complete, as it seems they prioritized moving people thru the drive-thru more than in-restaurant customers. They messed up my wife's order. They questioned if she ordered it correctly, as if we were in the wrong. Thankfully I had my itemized receipt and proved I am not a liar. I was then asked if we wanted them to remake it. Of course I did. Never once got an apology or a real show that my time and experience meant anything. I blame all of these issues on the new location layout (and maybe a little more training is needed for staff). Overall this new location is a bust. PLEASE DO NOT CONTINUE TO MAKE LOCATIONS IN...
