4/5/24 - ~8pm -We'd never eaten at this establishment, but we've been going to the Fazolis nearby and used to get takeout from KFC before it closed, so we knew about it. Decided to try it out. It took the server forever to show up to greet us and get the drink order. Taller guy, scraggly hair with a beard, dirty blonde/brown.
Our drinks, bread, and appetizer were brought out by a different person, who quickly sat them down with no straws and took off, we had to call him back to get straws. They didn't give us any plates, so we were trying to eat the appetizer and bread while avoiding getting ourselves and our eating area dirty.
From then on, it was 17 minutes we sat there before our bearded waiter came back to get our actual meal order. We requested another cup of dipping sauce for the appetizer "You got it" he said... never brought one out. As we sat there we could hear other tables "It's been 20 minutes" and "Is he going to ask us if we want a take-home box" etc. (This wasn't just our waiter, seemed like the staff was having a lot of issues).
An older couple seated across and a few tables down that had come in 5 minutes or so after we got there had their main course before we even had a chance to order our main course (this was the same waiter). We were being polite, quiet, not sure what was going on.
A different person brought out our main course, the food was very good, however my daughter's steak was undercooked (hence 4/5), not a huge deal.
Just really disappointed by the service, it was really bad. The bearded guy was nice, but just wasn't there, he was missing for huge chunks of time. It also doesn't help to have a different person bringing out the meals than the server because it seemed to contribute to the complete disconnected feeling we got from the bearded guy. I don't know that we'll ever go back.
*You are sorry that you didn't meet MY expectations? That response gets this dropped from a 2 to a 1 star. You should be sorry that your wait staff didn't meet even thee most BASIC expectations. My expectations are not out of the ordinary by any stretch of the...
Read moreOur party of six ate at Outback at around 6pm on a Thursday. It was not very busy for dinner hour. I hadn’t been to an Outback to eat in several years so I noticed right away several things had changed about the menu. Items are missing of note the wedge salads. I got up to visit the restroom and noticed the were dirty and in disrepair- a bad sign about a restaurant but we stayed and ordered, a mistake I would regret later. I ordered the sirloin and broiled shrimp with house salad and potato soup. The waitress was prompt and friendly with our bread, butter and drinks which arrived quickly. However, when food arrived my potato soup was pasty and tasted like it was from a leftover batch being served for weeks on end. It was salty and inedible. The steak was cooked correctly but the quality of meat is degraded as if it’s select grade, the lowest grade of beef. The steak was tough and had the liver-type taste of low quality meat. The shrimp was over cooked and over seasoned. Another of my family had a baked potato with their meal and it was seasoned with large chunks of salt. They weren’t able to eat it due to over salting. Overall, we were disappointed with the low quality of food and the restaurant’s effort to mask that with cheap seasonings. Not only that, I went home that night with a stomach ache and diarrhea that lasted until morning. Negative experiences like that from a restaurant drive me away for a very long time most likely permanently because I got sick after...
Read moreWas there today, after coincidentally my son was there last night. He had told us about his server taking forever, even though the large group explained they had to be out of there at a specific time. Several people got the wrong meal in their group. My son had to ask several times for the server to bring him the water he ordered even though she brought other drinks out. Same server didn't listen to who was with who for their bills, and would disappear for a long periods of time. This group was nearly late for their activity. Yet of course, the "20% tip" was automatically applied to their bills. Went there today for a completely unrelated family meal. We laughed bc we got seated in the exact same spot he was in last night. The same thing happened. Server would disappear forever. Several of our drinks had floaties in them. Tells me it was dirty ice bc the drinks were all different. Food was fine. Server took forever to bring the bills. One check was paid in cash and she said "I assumed you didn't want your change so I just kept it". And of course there was 20% gratuity added, even though service was slow, stuff floating in our drinks, waited forever to have them bring out things that should have been automatically been brought out and we watched our server talk in the corner or just disappear. For the prices, service and gross drinks, it was probably our last time going there. And it's not surprising the other location in town closed and today it was...
