Jonesy's Taco House — Restaurant in Omaha

Okay, I've been to many Mexican restaurants around the u.s. and even grew up on amazing Mexican restaurants In New York City so you can take this review with a grain of salt because of my high standards.

When walking into a Mexican restaurant you probably expect a few things that set the atmosphere. Authentic music, maybe classic southwestern architecture, or maybe something else. However when stepping into this restaurant you'll feel like you're stepping into a run down Stevi b's. From the exposed fountain drink selection to the poor choice of flooring, nothing about this place feels like a Mexican restaurant. I sat down with two others and we noticed a few things. 1. We didn't get knives with our utensils. 2. It was completely silent other than a family of four sitting in the back and 3. The menu items were offering fusion style food which has no place in this type of establishment. I ordered something simple (a chimichanga) and what I got was a giant pile of Walmart slop. Seriously, they serve frozen chimichangas.

I'm more concerned than I am angry. In fact I don't blame the chefs at all considering they're doing their best with what they're given. I'm just bewildered how this place has 4.5-5 star reviews because there is no way that this place...

This place is running a towing scam. I went to pick up a to go order at tracks, next door, and couldn’t find parking, so I stopped in the side parking lot of Jonseys thinking that 5 minutes in and out wouldn’t be an issue. Granted I should have read the signs, but everyone has done this at some point in their life. I spent literally 5 minutes in tracks and come back out to my car on a tow truck. I tried to plead with the truck driver to no avail, and he informed me I’m out of luck until Monday morning unless I want to Venmo him 225 then and there to drop my car. After paying the driver he drops my car and immediately goes to hitch up the vehicle directly next to me. I’m not suggesting that I was in the right to park in their lot, but they are 100% running a scam, likely with a kick back from the greasy tow truck company. I checked other reviews and similar incidents have happened, but with real customers. What a shameful way to make a dollar, no wonder their parking...

Crappy, cheap prison cafeteria food, and be prepared to have your car towed by their predatory tow guy they worked out a little business deal with. People have actually had their car towed while EATING INSIDE THE RESTAURANT. Seriously. They proudly boast on Facebook each time they tow a car, and they brag about how fast they tows cars off the lot without even giving people a chance. The man literally circles the block, ready to tow whoever parks in "their" spaces in the shared lot. If you try to stop the tow guy, he will try to make you CashApp him over $200 to release your car which is predatory and actually illegal. If this happens to you, PLEASE notify police and let them know that what Jonesy's and their tow company are doing. They also removed their reviews on Facebook, as they're getting tons of negative feedback due to this disgusting behavior. There has also been multiple people who have suffered from food poisoning thanks to their food. Just skip...
