Freezing Thai Rolled Ice Cream & Crispy chicken & Boba Tea (Omaha, NE) — Restaurant in Omaha

Normally this shop is great; it's the only place that my girlfriend and I go to for rolled ice cream. We had a somewhat disheartening experience recently that I would rather have emailed in about regarding the situation, but I can't find an email address on their site.

I had gone in and placed my order at 3:28 PM per my stub on a Friday, the place wasn't too busy (still had seating for customers waiting/eating), and I fully expected to have our order within the next 15 minutes or so.

I noticed a couple orders end up getting pushed out that came in after ours, and ultimately come around 3:50 PM, I started to get nervous that we might not make a prior planned appointment. I checked to see if our order was being worked on and overheard one employee note that the order stubs/tickets were out of order, so I asked them if I could just come back and get our order later, which didn't seem to be problem.

The issue came when I returned around 4:45 PM (not as certain on the time), when I came in to redeem the order, I was given what appeared to be a re-frozen order; essentially it had been made, had started melting down one side, and then had been put in the freezer.

Rolled ice cream, at least in my view, is about the unique texture compared to traditionally churned ice cream. The nature of re-freezing the product results in portions of it having that "freezer burn" texture that is somewhat unpleasant and definitely not representative to the product that Freezing usually delivers.

Again, I just want to reiterate that this shop hasn't let us down before - but I did want to share this experience to the store in some capacity instead of stirring the...

The five stars are for the chicken, which is both delicious and crispy. Add half a star because you can get additional chicken as a side dish with your order of chicken! Genius! The chicken was freshly cooked upon order and came out piping hot and with a perfect texture. There are only three flaws with the chicken side of the restaurant and I think all could be corrected fairly easily: Allow the patron to get more sauces with the chicken. You should get at least two kinds and you need more than one little tub of sauce in order to enjoy the chicken fully. Put the radio on or literally any other kind of music. I don't know if we were listening to the Kidz bop beyoncé but whatever it was hurt my soul and I need some recovery time. Nobody deserves that kind of punishment when they're eating a delicious chicken. Someday install refillable drinks... The boba tea here is usually very good. However, the last two times the new guy who says he is the manager has been messing up our orders. We usually order with no ice for which they charge extra. The previous time , he made it with ice and when pointed out, he asked if we could have it with ice. When told I prefer it without ice, he made new drinks but seemed annoyed. Yesterday, he started making the drinks with ice again but I was able to point this out before he completed making the drinks and he was able to remove the ice. Then, the amount of boba was less than half the usual amount. When I pointed this out, he reported that he put 1 scoop and that he was running out of boba and was again annoyed/ unapologetic. The ladies that we usually get the boba from are super friendly and make excellent drinks. The new guy needs a little training in being nice and paying attention...
