I have no words! This place is absolutely amazing! My boyfriend and I tried it for the first time today! I can’t believe we live right down the street and just discovered this gem. For an appetizer we ordered the chicken spring rolls with a side of chili sauce and the Thai peanut sauce. The spring rolls were so fresh and delicious. The Thai peanut sauce is to die for! SO good. The chili sauce was good as well but I personally preferred the Thai peanut sauce. I got the Massaman curry + chicken + medium heat and my boyfriend had the pineapple fried rice + chicken. The massaman curry was everything I wanted and more. The flavors were out of this world! It was sweet with the perfect amount of spice . This might be my new favorite dish. My boyfriend’s pineapple fried rice + chicken was also phenomenal. The portion size was huge! The owners were super sweet and chatted with us for a few minutes. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers. 11/10 recommended. Everything was AMAZING! We will definitely be back!

The food, the owners, the staff, the care. It's all 5/5. Pad Thai: best I've tried, in Omaha or anywhere else. Sweet, savory, smoky, umami, and great portion sizes. It's just got it all. Pad Kee Mao: Again, best I've tried in or out of Omaha. Just enough basil to taste, but it doesn't overpower the other flavors. Homemade noodles give a good chew and hold the sauce like a lost lover. Fruit Rangoons: Pineapple ones were good, Mango ones were great, and the crisp, delicate wonton wrappers were light and airy without a gram of greasiness. The Homemade sauce brought a touch of sweet, a touch of sour, and just a dab of heat. It was good enough to eat by the spoonful...which happened. The owners and staff were very pleasant. I don't know her name, but one of the owners went into detail about how meticulous she is about her recipes and the layering of flavor and care she puts into every dish. I believe it. The proof is on the plate. I'll be back, and you should too.

While searching Yelp for Thai food, we noticed a new restaurant in the list! We headed to Khao Niao from downtown and did not regret it. The Red Curry and Massaman were absolutely delicious. The Massaman was an amazing light whipped texture, which made it unlike any other I have tried. I love it when a Massaman has peanuts in it!! We ordered our dishes Medium spice, which was not too hot. Should have asked for a little extra spice as we both eat spicy food often; always tend to stay on the safe side at new spots! One thing I was really impressed with was the Vegan friendliness of the restaurant. All Vegan items were marked as such, and the curries do not contain fish sauce! Most items were Vegan, and there was actually an up-charge to have meat in your dish. The service was great, spent some time speaking with a man who we believed to be the owner. Good people, great food.

This place had sat on my “to try” list for months. Finally had the opportunity to give it a go on a cold and blustery January day.

Mind the hours as they, like most, close for a few mid arvo.

The people were absolutely lovely & proud of the food they served. Handmade noodles and homemade sauces are heavily featured and for good reason!

Called in my carry out order (for 5 people) and picked it up within 20 minutes. !

The Panang (vegan!) was rich and fresh, without being too heavy or cloying. The Drunken Noodles were veggie-full, hearty, and well sauced without being overly oily or drippy. And! Not to take away from any of the other dishes I ate - but! - the Chicken Pho was, in my personal opinion, the absolute standout. The broth was simply amazing - the best, most incredibly flavourful, light, complex, clean, absolutely gorgeous, I have ever eaten here in NE. I got halfway through it before remembering to add the extras. Which, by the way, were also delightful. Plentiful noodles, tasty chicken, thinly sliced onion, fresh cilantro and jalapeño slices, crispy bean sprouts/shoots, and 2 sauces.

Ordered medium heat for all dishes. It was spicy-ish to a couple folks - nothing a wee drink of milk or dollop of plain yoghurt didn’t quickly calm. I would describe it as deeply warming - but didn’t detract from the actual flavour of any dish (a feat!).

Will definitely be revisiting.

Thanks to all at Khao Niao for a...

The only Thai food restaurant to go to in Omaha. I recently discovered this place and have been twice within a week because it’s so delicious! The ingredients they use to cook are all super fresh, and you can really taste it. The dishes I’ve tried were so flavorful. They do not use msg, use coconut milk instead of cream, make all their own sauces (including a vegan fish sauce) in house as well as HOMEMADE NOODLES. Need I say more? Ok I will. Everything is just so fresh and clearly made with love. Places like this make me happy and Omaha is lucky to have a place like this that puts in a lot of extra effort for an amazing end result. The couple that owns the place are also very welcoming and charming. My infant was sleeping so they dimmer the lights for us. They even brought me a sample of their Thai iced coffee with coconut milk since I’m dairy free while nursing my little one. It was a pleasure to dine in! Five stars for each of the dishes I’ve tried so far: yellow curry, drunken noodles, pad Thai, crispy egg rolls and the Thai iced coffee. Definitely will be...
