Very Busy BBQ! HUGE to go business as well. The dining room is huge though so you should be able to find a seat. The set up is a little nerve wracking because you have to read the menu real quick on the wall when you come in, pay and then they give you a number and bring it to you. After a few times I'm sure it won't be as scary. Lol. They have a couple cashiers, so the line goes pretty fast. Desserts are behind them in the cooler... So don't forget that! Banana or Pistachio pudding! I like the pulled pork the best & my spouse likes the ribs. Everything we've had is good tho the few times we went. They have 3 sauce bottles available. Fire. Sassy (sweet & savory our fav) & mild. All are great tho. Apple coleslaw is vinager based & i loved it. Could taste apple. My spouse didn't because they like the more mayo version. Cornbread is like cake consistency (my fav) but spouse likes more crumbly but we both appreciated the great corn flavor! Served with honey & butter. Kettle chips are bubbly and flavorful. Fried onion petals are great small size to put on the sandwhich if you want. I didn't know they had dill pickle chips and those come with the sandwich on the side. Mmmm. They do run out of brisket fast and there is a sign on the door if they run out of stuff they close. Everything is FRESH! Smells awesome in there and kept really clean due to a large working crew. They sell bottles/ cans behind counter to drink, but they do have soda, homemade lemonade, sweet & unsweetened tea at serve yourself fountains. I would say it's definitely in the top 5 BBQ places in Omaha. But then again there isn't a bad bbq in Omaha. Very reasonable prices. $40 for 2 adults with drinks & dessert not including tip. The suggested receipt tips are 2 to 7% probably because it's pay at the counter & get ur own tableware. We left 15% on a card & a couple dollars in the jar by the register. Squirreled away in a corner lot of several strip malls, across from Tanners Bar on the Northeast side of 156th & Maple. Watch for confused drivers everywhere. It's a weird residential entrance. Use GPS. Lovely...

I have been back twice since my original review and they haven't been opened very long. I travel a lot so I'm not always in Omaha.

The wagyu bbq is delicious. The best part is they didn't charge extra for it. It has replaced the previous beef they used.

Note: The cornbread is more like corn cake. Nothing wrong with it, but just a note about the texture.

They recently added cheesy corn which will be my go to first side choice when getting the platter.

They do military discount. 10% off I believe. Double points if you are an ofl member

----- previous review My second time there and it did not disappoint . I first went when they just opened. I was unable to do a review at the time because it was not established in Google. Now that it's here, I can do it.

My #1 pick is the pork ribs. Close second is the burnt ends and sausage. Everything is good here. I found the turkey for me.. underwhelming only because everything else was flush full of flavor. It's good if you want something more plain and less salty. The shredded pork and the ham were both solid.

We went with the porky platter (feeds 4-6) even though there was only 3 of us because we wanted to try everything. We also ordered a side of okra Fries Macaroni and cheese Potato salad

Bbq 5 🌟 Sides 4 🌟 Service 5 🌟 Atmosphere 4 🌟

I mean you are surrounded by trophies including the American Royal bbq (first place)

It's located in West o. Large parking lot that is shared. I plan to be back soon. I heard they will be...

I will have to say I've been there multiple times in years past, always been good.. well this time I just can't get too excited about it.

The ribs that I ordered were good not great like they have been in the past. Got fish as well as one of the extra meats with the meal. I will say it was a large piece (thankful for that) but it was very dark on the edges since it was fried. The cornbread was good. The beans were good as well. The potato salad was horrible. That had to be the worst potato salad I've ever had. I've had a lot of different versions of it, but this one was horrible. There's so much garlic in it (first of all who in the hell puts garlic in old fashioned potato salad) the garlic basically took over everything else in it. It's inedible..

The order takes at the counter I'll say must've been tired at least that what we told ourselves since their attitude were not the best. You don't have be happy happy joy joy but at least have some niceness, and speak you might get tired to saying what can I order for you but that's the job. We can't assume that your ready for the order when you steady looking at the screen, then look up somewhat irritated when we haven't said anything. They are the first people seen when walking in the restaurant.

Over all look of this establishment is ok, same as it always have been. Nice size waiting area for the...

Wanted to try Porky Butts for lunch. I had only had it ordered delivery before at this point so I figured I'd try them in person to get a real judgement. When you walk in you're hit with a smoke pit smell that's welcoming. It's got a pretty chill atmosphere for lunch. All the awards on the all are interesting, like a tone setter. It's like saying "you're about to get something good" without saying it. The appearance of the two meat plate looked good but very commercial. It doesn't have that feel you get at all smaller bbq shop back in the south/Texas. I had a two meat with jalapeno sausage and brisket. The brisket was very dry and even though it had smoke flavor it was still still meh. The jalapeno sausage was good and I would recommend it. The beans were pretty good. I ended up dipping the brisket pieces in the chili to try and give it some moisture. The chili by itself is good stuff. I didn't touch the cornbread, it was so hard and dry. Overall the atmosphere is good. If I wanted to take someone for bbq that isn't from the south, yeah this would be a viable option but not a "must have for Omaha". These were just some thoughts I had while eating in Porky Butts for the first time. Would I recommend ? Ehhhhhhh idk. It would just depend but it's not an automatic yes or no. It's a plan B if plan A falls through place. Wouldn't recommend outright
