Delicious experience at this tiny hole in the wall restaurant that's a bit closer to downtown (off Martha Street a bit) You sit down. They offer free chips and salsa (two, one green, one red). I'd recommend the Fuego quesadilla. 5 stars It was not spicy at all. Loaded with filling it costed 13. I added the birria soup for another 1.50. it was very good. I ate a quarter and a tortilla of stuff from my friends plate and I was done. The serving size is quite large. The mole poblano was a 3 star for me personally, but it's probably because I'm not a huge fan of mole. I am particular and this one just didn't do it for me. The costilla de adobo was a 4 star. The jaimaca and the horchata were both drinks I'd order again. 4.5 stars. I gave this place a 5 because it's cute, service was great, and they did have one dish that I would definitely come back for. Service was very accommodating. They have a small private parking lot around the building which makes it pretty easy to get to.

Pros: Friendly staff, nice homey atmosphere, delicious horchata, fresh tasty food. Cons: Prices don't match the portions you recieve, over priced, felt ignored while I waited, long wait time, skimped out on the salsa I recieved. I came in during dinner time and upon entering I was greeted by a nice and homey atmosphere. Dining area was full of customers. After recieving a menu I let the server know what I wanted. Ended up getting a thing of superfries de asada and a torta de milenesa. There was a little bit of a wait (35 minutes) but I was willing to chill in the dining area. After all it was pretty busy. While I waited I requested a plate of chips & salsa to keep me busy. However I didn't recieve these. I felt I wasn't paid much attention to like the rest of my fellow patrons who were dining in. After my food was done I went home me & my brother enjoyed our meal. First thing to notice, the portions we recieved didn't match the price I paid. $14 for the superfries and while it was made fresh and looked/tasted good there wasn't a lot of anything. $10 for a milenesa torta when the torta was quite small and didn't come with frijoles or wasn't toasted with cheese. Not only that but the salsa I got was LITTLE. The cups aren't the biggest but it wasn't even filled all the way as you can see in the photo I took. Over all the food was good, tasty & fresh but it was over priced and the portions all wrong. Not sure if I'll be back since I can get more bang for my buck elsewhere. 5.5 stars out of 10.

Friendly, kind, competent staff. Called an hour before closing during a snowstorm and they were still open! Ordered carry out. They asked directly for our feedback about marketing and service while we waited for our order, which was ready within minutes of our arrival. I failed to get anyone's names, but the man cooking clearly loves and treasures the business and hold their mission in high regard. In addition to the warmth of the staff, the food was impeccable. I'm from Houston and haven't had a meal that reminds me of home until tonight. We had the tacos al pastor and the Fuego tacos with the consummé. We also really enjoyed the spicy red salsa. Don't sleep on them!

I have nothing but amazing things to say about La Poblanita. Their Quesabirria tacos (or called here, Fuego Tacos) are what I have been coming for over 2 years for, as that is my all time favorite dish and they do it the best here. I’ve also had the loaded carne asada fries, bean dip and Chilaquiles, and all were amazing. In my opinion, the best authentic Mexican restaurant in OMA. Great service as well. Be prepared and kind about a little bit of a wait for your food (that’s how you know it’s going to be amazing). It is a small place, but I know the owner(s) are hoping to expand. Show this place some love, they deserve it! 10/10

I stopped in on a recommendation and arrived around 1:00 on a Thursday. It's a small place with a name that fits. The service was good, and food was slow to arrive, but it was totally worth the wait. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, they run a Cali burrito special. It's their original burrito with the addition of guacamole and some other stuff. It was huge, hot, and fresh. The steak was tender, and the burrito was delicious. The only things I didn't like were the (free) chips and the wait for the food in a spot with only two other customers. Neither will dryer me from returning.

A fantastic "mom and pop" stop for food. Ice cold A/C the hot an muggy day I stopped. Attentive and wonderfully pleasant lady as the front of house. Had the Mole Chicken-literally fall off the bone good, and was served with tasty rice, beans, and 4 corn tortillas. Had to try 1 Fuego Taco and consomme to dip. It was cheesy gooey heaven in a bit. I think I felt myself running an additional mile with each bite, but it was soo dang good. Small place, potentially a problem if you go during a rush, saw lots of to go orders when I was there
