I am floored at how exceptional they treat you here. We sat at a packed bar and Neil introduced himself and asked our names. Neil introduced us to the other bartender, Cole, and Cole was so friendly and personable, I really couldn't believe I was in Omaha. Sure, I've had good service here, but never have I felt like I was part of the family from the moment I sat down. Usually I feel like I'm a nuisance. Neil and his staff make you feel like you matter. My hot roast beef with mashed potatoes was made in house and was fabulous. My husband's wings were great and the cheese sauce they serve with the pretzels is made in house and excellent. Had not been to Rookies before, seemed to be doing okay. Dropped in to check it out. Like others had commented, bar looks older, but that is okay. Has a full bar tables and dart boards.

Sat at a table, service a little slow at first but was good after they realized we were there.

Had a couple drinks and an order of onion rings, they are hand made with a tempora style batter, served with chipotle ranch.

Took an order to go, wings, club sandwich, and taco basket with chips and cheese.

Wings were good. Club sandwich wasn't your traditional club, but still enjoyed. Taco basket had two tacos, kind of small and oddly didn't have cheese. They still taste pretty good. All in all, I would go back, a lot of competition in that...

The food here, off the hook, for Bar and grill foods. They could turn their music volume down, As you have to scream to have a conversation. Very difficult to hear in there! But don’t let that deter you from trying their foods!! The Philly Mac & cheese is very good! The bang bang shrimp, also delish…. It if your craving a chicken parmigiana sandwich 😱holy cow!
