PepperJax Grill — Restaurant in Omaha

Wow! No "Hello, how can I help you" when I first walked. I had to badger the lady behind the register and ask where my food was as it wasn't on the online takeout shelf. She asked the cooks and they were pretty confused. FAIL. There was no attempt to apologize for the inconvenience or even acknowledgement that they were going to make it on the fly. Mind you have I had my 3 year old daughter in the car waiting, and that's why I ordered online, so I could just grab and go. NOPE that here in PerpperJax land, where the customer is always at fault for their blunders. I ended up getting frustrated after waiting 10 more mins and asked if they were even making it. That's when the other blond lady starting accusing me of somehow being the one at fault. We had a few words back and forth and I reminded her that "when you order something online, it's supposed to be ready when you arrive". She could care less that my toddler waiting by herself in the car. I guess single father's don't get much respect in Omaha. The topping on the cake was when the customer ahead of me who was always waiting turned and said "I feel you man, I can't even get anyone to acknowledge me". He was a black gentleman and I'm of Latino descent, I hate to play that card but it felt like unless you're white, no one will acknowledge you here. Whoever owns this store, you're losing money and reputation. I placed this order at 7:30 pm 12-1-2023 but didn't get it until 8:10....

This location has been very hit or miss, last night the line was long because of the food preparation, not because of the number of customers. They had run out of rice when we went, around 7 pm, and while it didn't impact my order, I heard and saw the disappointment on the others in line as each was asked what they wanted and upon mention of a rice bowl, were told about the half hour needed to wait for rice. Nearly all of the tables were dirty, even if they had been cleared, it was obvious that the tables were not wiped property. The final nail in the coffin for me was the cashier was rude while I was trying to list/repeat my order, she scoffed when I asked for a receipt after it printed, almost seeming to me like she was saying "well there it is, why don't you grab it?" to me. And when I asked about the kids corn dogs I ordered, as in will we be notified when they are done, she yelled at me, "We will bring them out to you!" Needless to say, that didn't happen and my husband had to inquire as to when they would be ready, and received burnt corn dogs and...

I went here because I had a taste for a Philly Cheesesteak sandwich. The parking lot had alot of parking spots so I parked close to the door. I was wondering why the front door was wide open, but when I walked inside, it was smoky and smelled as if something had been burned. In spite of this, I still went ahead and ordered. I was greeted at the grill by a nice guy. He asked what I wanted and I said Philly cheese steak. He proceeded to season it and cook the meat. Once that was done he put it in a sandwich bun and then sat it next to the person at the condiment station. The girl at the station was refilling the bottlea but looked at my container and then looked at me and said nothing, no hello or anything. Next thing I know she leaves and the girl at the cashier looks at her leaving and looks at me and said hello and proceed to ask if I wanted anything in my sandwich. I told her yes and then she packaged my order and I paid for it. She wished me farewell and I did to her as well and left. When I got home and started eating my sandwich it...
