Sam & Louie's Italian Restaurant & New York Pizzeria — Restaurant in Omaha

Just got home from our first and last visit to Sam and Louis Elkhorn, Nebraska. We ordered pickle chips, large pizza, and two soft drinks. after waiting about an hour and 15 minutes and after finishing our appetizer and watching two other tables that got their way after we did get their full orders of pizza and appetizers I got up and asked the waitress where our pizza was? The waitress stated she was sorry that they had lost our ticket and the pizzas now being baked? She brought us our ticket before we even received our pizza, no discount or anything after waiting all that time! I told her just forget the pizza we have to go. I asked her why there wasn’t even a discount on the bill for waiting over an hour and she stated well I didn’t charge you for the refills on the drink! I couldn’t believe what I was hearing I didn’t even know there was a charge for refills! Finally, she came over and said that she was sorry again and there will be no charge for anything And do you still want the pizza? I could not believe the manager didn’t come over and handle the situation very very poor management ! We went ahead and took the pizza home because they asked if we still wanted it hardly any cream cheese hardly any pepperoni or cheese and they charged three dollars...

This has been an excellent place to eat until everyone quit. I won’t return though after seeing what I assume is an employee came inside with food from somewhere else and was eating it in the kitchen around the food being served to customers. He also had no mask on nor did he wash his hands a single time. He was also walking through the dining area chewing his food with no respect towards anyone!! The chicken sandwich was the equivalent quality to a Mchicken and I couldn’t even finish my stromboli as it tasted off and came out very soggy. So disappointing!!! My visit before this one I witnessed the whole staff being trained except one person(doing the training) and he is the only person that I’ve seen multiple times so no clue why the owner needs to act like his staff isn’t quitting on him! Lol A previous waitress was even talking to a customer about how she was supposed to be done working here but since everyone has quit she had to stay on until new staff was hired! Once again I will not be back and the health department will be notified of the allowance of anyone into...

I came to redeem my birthday reward. The waitress asked me whether I needed a menu and I told her I didn’t need a menu and I had a question about the birthday reward. She handed me a menu anyway. I asked her my question twice and she laughed and flipped me off. I had my wallet out and I thought I was ordering, but another waitress came over and climbed into a high chair and both of them giggled while the one who was supposed to be taking my order scooted the other one around. There were people waiting. It was infuriating. Unbelievably disrespectful. Incredibly immature. Sam And Louie’s can keep their $10 birthday reward. I am never returning to this location or any other. The rude waitress deserves to be fired. I’ve never heard of flipping someone off who’s ordering...
