I used to love coming here when it was Brushi, and I was excited to see some of our favorites carried over to the new restaurant's menu. Unfortunately, the execution of the food is nowhere near what it used to be. We ordered starters, salads and entrees all at the same time. The starters and salads came out promptly, and the salads were both good. The appetizer was just ok. It was four completely flavorless shrimp with a mountain of shoestring potatoes. The potatoes were seasoned nicely, but the shrimp tasted like nothing at all and they were room temperature. Then we waited around 45 minutes for our entrees to come out and 2 of 3 of them were not good. The potato gnocchi was good and very flavorful. The whiskey chicken was completely dried out and had a terrible rubbery texture. The paella that had been my go-to favorite was under seasoned and the rice was completely overcooked to mush, as was half of the seafood. Service was slow, and our server forgot to bring my daughter's drink for 20 minutes until we reminded him. I know things happen, and everyone can have an off night, but there were just too many things going wrong for us to ever revisit this place again. The manager was very friendly and apologetic and took the whiskey chicken off our check, and offered some to-go dessert which we declined, but I think he handled the situation the best he could.

Well-crafted dishes obviously made with a lot of thought, skill, and experience. Dish presentation and detail are taken very seriously. The food was excellent. I was not expecting this creative level of food when I went in. The garlic shrimp appetizer was splendid. 4 pieces of medium-sized shrimp, that were perfectly cleaned and plump, served in a mouth watering garlic, lemon, butter sauce. The shrimp came with thin French fries that were cooked and seasoned perfectly. The whiskey chicken came in a generous portion. The chicken was tender and moist and meshed well with the whiskey sauce. The service was not remarkable either way and the food quality greatly outweighs the dining atmosphere. I would go back because the food was top notch and I would like to try many more things on the menu.

I really wanted to love this place. The food is style over substance as in it is bland. We did notice the crowd average age was older, so maybe this caters to that palate. Presentation was stunning- it just didn'ttaste as good as it looked. Service was not great, though, that could be to being understaffed. I did overhear our waitstaff complain to the hotess to "quit seating peoole". We had reservations, but I'm not sure about anyone else. We waited 20 mins before our order was taken, then just about an hour for food. We sat at a cleared table for 20 minutes, never got our desert (she took it to go at the end), and had to ask our waitstaff for our check. He was at the table behind us, wrapping silverware or something. It wasn't awful, just wasn't great.

Very impressed with Brushi, came here for dinner on a Saturday night at 7 pm with a group of 10 people. We did not have to wait because we had made reservations before hand, which is a great benefit of this place so you can plan in advance and not have to wait & are guaranteed a table which can come in handy on a Friday/Saturday night. We had the crab cakes and the flatbread pizza as an appetizers they were both very good and presentation was good as well. For the main entree I tried the beef filet and I also tried the clam chowder soup on the side as well both very good and tasty. The beef filet came with a small side of veggies and your choice of potato either mashed, or homemade fries. One of the best filets I have had in a while. For dessert they had a pretty extensive menu with 10 different dessert option which at first I thought maybe they might not be as good because usually when restaurants offer to much selection they all kind of taste average. But I went ahead and tried the chocolate moose which was excellent and again presentation was good as well. Overall Brushi is a great restaurant for a higher end dinner and experience . If you are looking for a more casual and cheaper dinner I would look elsewhere because this place is more upscale. My only negative about Brishui is the portions can be on the smaller side for the price you are paying. It does not in any way mean that the food is bad but if u are really hungry you might not be totally satisfied with just the main entree but they have great appetizers and dessert options which paired with your entree should be enough food for most, and they give you complementary bread & butter which were good. Overall I am very pleased with Brushis from the great service, quality/ presentation of the food, and most importantly the taste of the food. If you are looking for a higher end dinner experience Brushi's on 132nd & dodge is a great...

We went tonight for the first time (party of 4). We had a reservation and were seated immediately, but did not even place an appetizer order for more than 30 minutes. Our waiter was running like crazy and the place was clearly understaffed. We ended up getting our food after being there for 70 minutes (no, this is not an exaggeration). I think the most appropriate term for the entire experience is - Fine. Everything was fine - food was fine, atmosphere was fine, service was fine. None of it spectacular and some of it very questionable value for the price. The place is very much a euro vibe, with very pretty presentation and smaller portions. But all the food kind of fell flat in flavor. It was NOT bad, but also not impressive at all. I was pretty disappointed in the caprese appetizer for $14 - portion size, price, and taste. Caprese is one of my favorite things to order, especially Lo Sole Mio's (man I miss that place), and this one was a real let down comparatively. Since our server was so hectic, we literally had to flag down a host to get pepper (there is no salt or pepper on the table) as none was offered or available. We did not get refills (of soda or water) after our food was delivered. And finally, we ended up having to flag someone down to actually get our check after sitting at our table for nearly 15 minutes following all of our dishes being cleared away. We are foodies, we like going to try new places and we love finding gems in Omaha. Sadly, this experience was not one of our highlights and we...
