DO NOT RECOMMEND: I do not do well with false advertisement, which was displayed a couple times here, along with an item they carry/serve that they do not even know what it is (frightening)....Please read on:
I came here because I reviewed their website this morning, and a Poke Bowl sounded so good for lunch, and most of the reviews were good. I haven't been here before, so figured I would try them out. I checked their website this morning, so came in for lunch. However, I won't be back.
The Poke Bowl itself. On the Proteins (and their Appetizer menu), it states "Octopus Salad." The man behind the counter even repeated each item I stated and when he stated Octopus, he put SQUID SALAD on the bowl. I attached a pic of my bowl as well as what "calamari (squid) salad" looks like - I eat squid salad regularly. I even double checked their menu, and they do not have squid salad on the menu. They just have "Octopus Salad" on the menu. I'm a little (...actually very) bothered by the fact that they list Octopus Salad, but are only serving squid salad. If you don't know the items you stock to serve to the public, there is a bigger problem at hand.
I asked for the Large Combo, which on their site (time/date stamped in the attached screenshot) states Miso soup and an Aloha drink. He stated that they do not carry the Aloha anymore and that the combo ONLY applies to the Coca-Cola CANS. So the combo only applies to that one drink. Not even the bottles of soda or water they have will qualify for the combo when I asked. JUST the Coca-Cola cans (the one type of it as well). I don't drink soda in general (except for Seltzer), so this one item selection just did not work, and I ended up just getting only the bowl.
In the end, the bowl was alright, not great. The spicy salmon mix tasted very sweet, which is odd...not bad, but not the flavor I was...
Read moreI understand that my friends and I came in about 30 minutes before closing, but we were just looking for something quick, so we didn’t think it would be a problem. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. From the moment we started ordering, the worker seemed annoyed with us. Every time I mentioned what I wanted in my poke bowl, they rolled their eyes, making the whole interaction uncomfortable. My friend had a question about the menu but was too intimidated to ask because of the worker’s attitude.
I get that it can be frustrating when customers come in close to closing time, but we weren’t trying to linger or make things difficult—we just wanted a quick meal. A little patience and kindness would have made a huge difference in our experience.
As for the food, it was decent, but nothing special. With other poke and sushi spots around, good service is what makes a place stand out, and unfortunately, that was lacking here. I’m not sure if I’ll be back after this experience. Maybe it was just an off night, but it definitely left a...

Response: I only ordered the California Roll, my boyfriend got one of your Poke bowls too. The roll was not too expensive, but the Poke bowl was ridiculously priced and just down right nasty. None of the ingredience were fresh and the Poke was just inedible with the lack of quality ingredience. Had to stop at Panara to get a good dinner. My sushi roll was also not done in 2 minutes, it was about 5 minutes after my boyfriend got his food. The prep time on my sushi was less of an issue, it was the fact we were waiting for 10 minutes to even order as well as multiple people that came in while we were there were sitting around waiting for food for awhile. Get better/fresh ingredients if you want to charge those prices. It was mediocre quality for the price, its bad when day old sushi from Hyvee...
