Update to updated update: could they put the tire pressure pump in a worse spot? There are only two parking spots for the nitrogen hose and it is so tight and there is a lot of parking lot traffic so it is very difficult to see traffic coming from the south. It's difficult on weekdays during the day and a nightmare on weekends. Bring someone with you to guide you when backing up.
Update to update: the store is much busier. Wear your mask because COVID-19 is ticking up and there is no social distancing.
Self-checkout kiosks now available. Their signage is deprived and not very self explaining, especially when you don't go there often enough to be intimately familiar with their protocols.
Getting gas is very troublesome now. Cars get backed up all the way down the frontage road, presenting a traffic hazard. They need their attendants to direct cars pulling in to maximize space.
I'm still ticked off by the removal of the Polish sausage from the food court menu. That's worth a star in and of itself. The pizza is the next best value but a bit bigger portion than anyone should eat save physically active adolescent males. And not as flavorful. The retinal overload is another downgrade, and now on par with the big box stores. It is not as taxing as Sam's club or Walmart, nor is the ambience as frenetic as those establishments. Especially if you shop on a weekday afternoon or near closing time.
A plus is Costco trips are a great way to acquire steps. A trip is good for at least 1500, and if you park in the south 40 and lose track of your shopping partner, another 500 or so steps are easily accumulated. So a shopper might work off a few samples. The rotisserie chicken is tasty.
The membership does pay for itself. We saved money on cell phones (after standing in line an hour) and a washing machine.
Eyeglasses are a great value. They can be good at adjusting glasses; skills vary. Today the technician observed the coating was damaged (third time I got them adjusted) so left them behind to be repaired at no charge. Because the glasses are affordable, I had a pair from last year to...
Read moreI visited the location as a shopper for Instacart. It was a really disappointing experience. There did not seem to be much effort going on when it came to managing the general shopper experience. I know they can't control the behavior of their clientele, but I found it incredibly difficult to keep my patients while navigating around a variety of different shoppers who were completely dismissive of the directions, guidance, and other suggested limits provided by the store. They have posted guidelines about social distancing and I've seen my fair share of videos demonstrating a seriousness surrounding Costco's policies being upheld by their employees, so I was actually rather surprised to have so much difficulty with the density of people who were in the store. It appears that this location is directly reliant on a manual clicker count of people coming into the store being managed by a singular person who didn't verify my membership card let alone my clearance to be in the store. Worst of all, several of the items that I was sent there to get for my customer were unavailable. There was no communication or signage to state that the items were unavailable despite them being extremely common items, like bananas. I had to chase down a person in the produce department to confirm the fact that these items were not available. It directly impacts what compensation a person earns when such a significant amount of items are missing or unavailable and haven't been marked as such with their online shopping options. It ended up costing me almost $5 and that in itself is extremely frustrating, but when you add on top of it the general disregard for my safety, it's very difficult because on a lot of levels, I would absolutely love to have a membership of my own. However, I have absolutely no interest in having to battle against that kind of difficulty on a regular basis just to take advantage of the things...
Read moreFirst time there and got a membership. It's impressive that you have so many people watching the doors and ensuring I have a membership. Everyone is wonderful and makes sure to walk me to the sign-up counter.
Then the worst thing happened... I had to use the restroom. Like everyone else in this world, panic rushed over me. I have to use a public bathroom.
I then calm myself down. I remind myself that I am an elitist now. I had to pay $65 a year to even be in here. So you know their bathrooms are going to be clean.
Furthest from the truth! Their mens room was scary dirty. In fact, Rest Stop restrooms are cleaner that this place. They actually had flies, no a fly, flies buzzing around the stalls.
I am convinced that employees must have their own bathrooms because there is no way anyone who works there could walk in their mens room and think this is acceptable.
I was going to buy one of the famous $1.50 Hotdog Combo.
Yet with their disappointing lack of cleaning in the restroom left me not to trust them with cooking or handling my food.
Thank gosh everything food related is packaged.
Managers of this location should be embarrassed of their cleaning crew.
I expected more from Costco.
Suggestion: Maybe you don't need 6 people ensuring I have a membership. As soon as I walk in. Make it 5 and the 6th person can clean the restrooms.
To the people reading this who want to look at reviews on this place. Just make sure you never have to use their restroom. I felt so icky after leaving their restroom. I took a shower as soon as I got home for fear that might have gotten the plague on me using...
