McDonald's — Restaurant in Oneonta

Walked in with my 7 year old for just a quick snack because we had missed lunch and I was running late for apt. No one greeted us instead the lady on front even though nice seemed confused and lacked proper training. The lady informed me she didn’t have her own register so could I wait?? Another lady walked by and she ask if she could get her signed on to her own register and she quickly did and walked off! I proceeded to order and use led the app to redeem points. I ordered a regular hamburger, large drink & medium fry (free on app on Friday’s) with $1 purchase. What I was charged for was a large drink & large fry! No hamburger on receipt. I quickly informed the cashier and again was ask to hold while she got someone to help, a young man came up refunded me and rang up my order again. We are now waiting on a regular hamburger & medium fry with that being the only order on front line. Now at this point several people approach the confused cashier and began to order with all the orders being messed up. How do I know I’m still waiting on a hamburger (1) & fry (1) all of these people get there orders and I’m still waiting. I finally ask a cook who notices I’ve been waiting awhile and she tries to tell someone in drive thru to help me. Now 2 others look at the screen and try to figure out where my order none knows. Finally I’m told they are waiting on fries. Another 5 minutes and I’m out with a free pie lol. 15 mins for a hamburger , drink and fry! Was this a long review ? heck yeah and was even a longer wait with a small child running around hungry. This restaurant was not under staffed instead lacked proper training! I will say that this is the cleanest McDonald’s i visit! I hope that a GM reads this article and feels as confused as I did on my visit and corrects and properly trains it’s staff! I just knew I wouldn’t have to leave a review for this town but the employees have gone to FAR! WHY just WHY!? My son loves McDonald’s chicken nuggets which the employees that work in the Oneonta McDonald’s see me often and it’s not because I don’t cook but my son LOVES McDonald’s chicken nuggets until this night. Get there and order his food no issues until we get to the window to receive the food and the young lady says “it will be a minute on your food.” I say okay and wait. The chicken nuggets are extremely hot to the point I feel them through the bag which means they are fresh. Right? My son asks if he could eat in the car and I say “that’s fine” so I go in the bag and grab the nuggets out and open the box and the FIRST chicken nugget I see is a chicken nugget an employee BIT and put back in the box and the bag before handing it out the window to me. Now looking at the photo you clearly see someone bit the chicken nugget and it was not ripped as the manager continued to stress he see it happen all the time but I beg to differ because as MANY times I have spent my money at that place I have NEVER received a ripped chicken nugget with bare meat showing! The sad part is I had to let my son know he will never eat from there again because it’s not the food but clearly the employees can’t be trusted when handling...

Very very good I got a 10 piece meal with a vanilla milkshake as my drink choice. I went around 10:30 and my fries were cooked well I got them as a large and I didn’t finish them but overall I think they were tasty. My 10 piece was put into the box lined perfectly in two rows and was cooked very well not to warm or cold they weren’t burnt the inside wasn’t raw it was overall just a very good cooked chicken nuggets. my vanilla milkshake as my drink was good checked for anything in it (bugs,dirt, anything to be worried abt) and couldn’t find anything to be worried over it was very tasty overall did it’s job for the moment it was hittin wouldn’t be my first choice tho. Pulling out of the drive through wasn’t exactly great there’s a huge pothole that clearly is bigger than a black hole something needs to be done about it not saying I hit it but it’s obviously getting worse by the minute and will tear your car up. The lady at the drive through window did an amazing job was very sweet and made sure to read our order back and ask us if we needed Susie or anything else and gave us our total number of what we owed so we didn’t have to look at the screen and try and read out what it says.
