Service: 4.5 Atmosphere: 3.5 Food Quality: 4.5
Service: Polite, Smiles, & Tentative with timing of return service. All that's needed for a 4.5 from me.
Atmosphere: Personal preference, I like a very traditional culture relevant experience when it comes to directly ethnic related restaurants. It through the vibe off to me to see a random Mexican Hat, kinda 50's style paintings, Roman like statues, huh where this come from ? The sail boats are at least relative to the ocean.
Food Quality: Spicy tuna 🍣 roll (4), well stuffed with meat, cold rice, proper stickness W/spicy Mayo.
Gyoza (4) Solid Flavor, blend of soft & crunchy texture.
Veggie roll (3.5) bit too much lettuce for my preference.
Albacore: (3) Sauce was tasty, not the most tasty I've had though. Texture, ehh, just at a bit chewy, not to the point of gross at all.
Salmon 🍣 roll (4) well stuffed with meat, cold rice, proper stickness W/spicy Mayo.
Peppered Salmon sushi (4.5) Flavor Punch ! One of my favorite plates to eat. I liked their approach to it. Smokey lightly sweet sauce, 😋yummy.
Cajun Tuna (4.5) Flavor Punch ! Top item for me here. Sweet, smokey, hint of pepper.
Crispy Rice (4) Not a traditional item. Plate too big for 1 person to me. For me had a good spice kick. Tastey dish with the fluffy onion string batter.
Crab Wonton (3) Cream Cheese, NOT my preference.
Oyster Shooter (0) I mistook it for the alcohol Shot. It's not that, it's...
Read moreIt was terrible and way overhyped. Dinner starts at 3 pm and cost 38 dollars per person. If you leave even a single piece of food, they force you to eat it or else charge 1 dollar per piece. The waiters were extremely rude when I asked them why one of the pieces of sushi had no fish in it and said ”this is how we make it if you don’t like it too bad”. The rice to fish ratio is insane as there are basically no fish to a clump of sticky sweet and stale rice. Also isn’t all you can eat as they limit the amount of times you can order to 3 rounds. The tempuras are stale and dry.Atmosphere was very noisy and dirty. If you want good food don’t come here but if you want to get scammed, feel free. You are better off eating a hotdog at Costco which taste better, cost less, and comes with a drink. (Their soft drinks don’t offer refill). If you thought this place was good then maybe try some actual high end restaurants that isn’t in this rather broke and...
Read moreThis is a long overdue review! We've been coming here for years. We have had graduations, birthdays, anniversaries dinner here, small parties and larger parties and Sumo Sushi, hands down, has been the best! We have tried many local sushi spots and Sumo Sushi is our favorite. We appreciate the all-you-can-eat and love how fresh their fish is, their rolls are delicious and their appetizers are enticing! Our favorite Sushi rolls are the salmon delight and salmon ceviche. Our regular appetizers are the spicy garlic edamame, baked mussels and we some times do miso as well. Their service has always been friendly and attentive, making our experience enjoyable. The atmosphere is clean, open and has a fun vibe with tasteful music. Our food comes out on a timely manner and like I mentioned we have been coming here for years and have had great experiences during both lunch and dinner, weekdays and weekends! Must visit if you are a...
