Lucky Elephant Thai Cuisine — Restaurant in Ontario

Went here for the first time tonight. The atmosphere was lovely so we were really excited about our meal. The Tom kha gai had waaaaay too much fish sauce and broken pieces of bay leaf throughout which made each bite full of bits of stuff you can’t eat. Not the best manners to have when you have to undo each bite. We were willing to overlook this, but then the chicken satay from the elephant platter came out. Dry and unseasoned. The rest of the platter looked undercooked and underwhelming. We decide to stop eating and tell the waitress we weren’t happy with our meal. She goes to tell the manager who we can hear saying he wants to try our food because he thinks we’re lying? The waitress comes back to grab our food and tells us the manager wants to try it. We leave at this point. How awkward. What a bizarre way to handle customers who don’t like your cooking. Trying their meal so that you can do what? Come tell us how we’re wrong? Honestly the soup tasted like it had been siting for hours, stirred too many times, too fishy. This will go down as the worst Thai we’ve actually ever had. No matter how you feel about your own cooking, the customer is always right. Always. Demanding to try the food is so weird and breaks all social boundaries. Ordered my food online was told that It would be ready by 7:11 PM, decided to just place the order so by the time my son was done with practice we would have food picked up and ready to go. My husband tries to pick up the food and gets that they never received it and that he has to place a new order. Told him to pull up his bank Account information showing that they took payment and he already paid. Then when he showed it to them they told him it was picked up by post mates. We try to locate the food and get told they never picked up because we didn't request delivery and no address was provided. Then he tell the person and they said ohhhh its because it under a different name and not the one my husband told them. Then the cashier said it has not been maid even tho we placed the order at 6:00 pm and was told they will make it now. Was told its a 15 min wait comes back and its another 35 min wait. Then when my husband ask what happened all they had to say was nothing. Very poor customer service will never return. DO NOT PLACE ODERS ONLINE. They tried having us double pay and no apologies where given. Made us feel like they where just trying to take our money and didn't care that we where told to wait way longer then needed to be all because of a mistake that they made not...

As always the food was good. We chose early Sunday evening so the restaurant will be quiet so we can have a long conversation. When we finished our dinner and leaving Sunday dinnertime crowds beginning to show-up fillings the restaurant, just in time. Very good timing if one wants peace and quiet and good service and very good food. Other day i read a comments regardind wanting very spicy thai food here and didn't get it and complaining, well I like it very spicy too but all one have to do is ask for their spice tray and make it hot as one want. I usually use super hot mini green peppers with Thai fish sauce. I think this sauce will satisfy anyone who like very spicy Thai food. One have to ask for the spice tray. There are four different types of peppers prepared in different way for different dishes. Try different spice on different dishes until one find the perfect one you like for each dish. I have been eating Thai food for over 50 years all over Asia and in Thailand and here in. U. S, so i know little about Thai and other Asian spicy foods. ...
