DezMeaux's Boudin — Restaurant in Opelousas

Food is very good, I love the stuffed wings. When you go in to order wings it’s usually a wait time. It’s worth the wait because they’re good and hot. On this day 08/15/25 I decided to call in my order for 6 wings. The lady told me it would be ready in 15 minutes. So cool, by the time I left my house and then make a stop, it would exceed those 15 minutes. I go in and tell the lady that I’m here to pick up. She’s fixing wings for 2 workers who were obviously on lunch break. They got theirs and I know mine should be up. She tells me it’ll be an 8 minutes wait. So I have to wait 8 minutes for an order that I called in going on 30 minutes by now. I told her that I didn’t want them. Her reply was a nonchalant “ok”. No ma’am you don’t get to waste my time, gas, and have me come out my way, just to have me waiting. What was the purpose in even calling in the order?! Customer service wasn’t it today. They need to do better. Didn’t say sorry for the inconvenience or anything. And some may know that when you got a taste for something, you want what you want. I’m a disappointed customer, and I wasn’t about to let this slide. Guess I won’t be tasting those wings no time soon if I have to go there. Dezmeaux’s need to work on that frfr. What I got (pic below). Noise level- she wasn’t talking. Money spent, not a penny. Seating, go sit in your car and wait....

When i pulled up i was a little worried, nothing fancy of a building, and sharing a parking lot with an abandoned gas station.

Went inside and ordered the boudin burger and asked for any other suggestion. He quickly let me know the stuffed chicken wings are very popular so I went with a order of those too. So glad I did. This is some of the best chicken I have ever had. Perfectly seasoned with a perfect crunch. The boudin and cheese stuffed inside is what took this chicken to a different atmosphere! Kinda reminded me of stuffing and turkey but way better!

Super friendly and they even let me try out their cracklins. Absolutely amazing. Extra crispy fat side with a nice meaty side and seasoned ever so nicely! I will definitely have to add an order of these next time. I also can't wait to try their egg roll bondin

8.13.22. - I was actually looking for a salad when I pulled over here just to switch drivers.  I thought "hmmm...whats boudin, and do they have salads?"  I adventured in.  There was a nice crowd of people. Nevertheless, the customer service was prompt, attentive, and pleasant.  Rather than try to explain this exquisite LA cuisine I'd never heard of, they let me taste a bite, and it was a party of flavor and textures in my mouth.  Boudin is a mixture of pork, rice, seasonings, and usually onions and peppers all cooked down and stuffed into a sausage casing.  We ended up ordering a deep fried boudin burger with cheese. It was made fresh to order.   This burger was huge, a bit spicy (as requested), and so freaking delicious.  What a great welcome to LA cuisine.  I have zero complaints: price ($6.35), taste, service, everything was on point. This Cali girl loves this little gem of a restaurant.  I would eat here every day if...
