I first went threw the drive thru last night on the way home from Polaris, I had two gift cards, I wanted to use so I thought well since I am near one I may as well stop by, so went threw the drive thru and a voice machine came and on and it said I am sorry but we are closed, well it wasn't even time for them to be closed, plus I seen people inside eating, so I pull around and park and go up to the door and it's unlocked, I go in mind you I have only been here once and I told the lady I was pretty new to Panera how do I go about ordering?! So she pointed at the machines, so I seen the self check out machines, and I begin looking at the menu, everything I looked at including Soups, Bowls, mac and cheese, Pizza, bagels I mean everything said SOLD OUT... Only thing they had for sale was the cream cheese. Like why were they even open? I was beyond confused and upset I even waisted my time. If you don't have the food products why are you even open? Ill never be back.
And let me add, no one greeted my daughter and I, there was no staff anywhere, I had to say excuse me really loud to get this girls attention who was on her cell phone looking down not paying any attention now that I see these reviews I am really glad I didn't get any food from here. This place needs to shut...
Read moreLet me start by saying that I used to realy enjoy Panera. To me it was definitely a step above fast food and everything was always clean and fresh.
This was the first time at this Panera location (Lewis Center) in a while, definitely first time post Covid. Took me a few minutes to realize that I had to order via the kiosk, no problem. I ordered a pecan braid and hazelnut coffee. Had to get the coffee myself, again, no problem except that they were out of hazelnut. Received my pecan braid from a very surly woman who I had just heard using the "f" word from behind the counter, ok. Got to work to unwrap a stale pecan braid that looked like it was left over from yesterday.
The whole store looked sloppy, coffee spilled everywhere, tables unclean. This was 8:00 in the morning and there were only 2 other people there, I can't imagine it got that dirty that quickly.
I understand about the staff shortages, but that doesn't mean that your customer service should resort to people having to order their own items and not even getting a greeting in response to coming in to the restaurant. I have given Panera 3 chances in the past year and this was the last one. Very disappointing to spend $6 on food that I...
Read moreWe love Panera and regularly order bread from the Sunbury location. I normally call ahead and lewis center is ALWAYS out of sour dough and country loaf or have been rude about ordering only a loaf of bread from the drive thru. Sunbury is actually out of my way most days but sells all their items through drive thru if requested even pre-pandemic.
Monday August 8th I decided to try again with this location. I parked and went in because (see above). I waited at least 5 mins and no one came to the register. I went to the pickup counter and asked if anyone was working the register. The girl said someone would be with me shortly. I waited at least another 5 mins and left. Drove through the drive thru. Was helped promptly. Gave my complaint about waiting on the front register and asked why no one was there. I was told that the manager was covering it. Then my bread looked like picture. Mangled and cut down the center. First time Panera cut my bread both directions. We couldn't eat it fast enough because this cutting method made the loaf dry out faster plus I couldn't use it for nice big sandwiches. Worked great for my...
