A-1 Deli & Catering — Restaurant in Orange

plenty of parking for this deli. unfortunately for semi trucks, parking is not available. big trucks would have to block driveways or park on glassell in a no stopping anytime zone. this deli is located at the entrance to a commercial/ industrial section of orange ca. sitting out front awaiting my order I've seen many truck drivers look in this direction as they pass by, as i did for many years, but today I'm bobtail and found parking. as i was leaving even a ford f350 with a trailer had trouble finding parking and circled the building twice. this deli is snug in between two other small businesses. petite, clean, and friendly. four women taking making and serving. i ordered a 10' tuna sandwich add avocado a side of macaroni and a bowl of chili. just because this was my first time and i wanted a variety to review. total wait time is about 15 minutes.$18.00 and change was the cost. the tuna sandwich was moist and fresh bready but good. the macaroni was like the container big box store kind alright just alright. the chili was good. 2 out of 5 stars on the macaroni and chili. really nothing special but the wanting of chili was quenched. the sandwich was 3 out of 5 stars. a good standard tuna on white. nothing more nothing less. i would stop by again. for a sandwich this is the...

I went with a friend to pick up lunch.

I ordered one "garlic bread" at the counter, they charged me for "cheese garlic bread". While getting it, I re-confirmed with the lady that they charged me for cheese garlic bread (I think it was intentional) for the order I gave was garlic bread, The lady CONFIDENTLY said yes it's "cheese garlic bread". Even though I didn't order cheese garlic bread, I said okay, that would be fine. when I opened it that was regular garlic bread (no cheese). That was amazing how they CONFIDENTLY charge extra money to their customers! (Maybe she assumed that I'll never be there again, which is true)

The bread was too oily/buttery and there was no garlic taste, it felt like eating bread with oil, I could eat just two...

Holey smokes!!! This place does not disappoint! The wife and I tried out the Egg Salad sando and I can't say anything about it cuz frankly I'm speechless. Seriously tho its hands down one of the best sandos we've ever had! The Tuna Sandwich is what we came here for in the first place & it was incredible as well(add cucumber). We also couldn't resist checking out the Chilli Spaghetti and it is a force to be reckoned with indeed! Mac salad was on point and I can't say enough about the staff, they are incredibly friendly and even threw in a free order of garlic bread for us!
