Don Vega Deli — Restaurant in Orange

First of all I am not here to bash anyone. For those who may or may not know, this was called “Lisa’s Deli” prior to “Don Vega”. I’m assuming they sold the store. I came to Lisa’s Deli religiously. The moment they were sold I ordered what I usually order, a bacon egg and cheese on a roll with a side order of fries. It was perhaps the worse order I have ever had. The home fries were close to “mush”, slimes almost. And the bacon and cheese tastes like it was cooked with no love(if that makes sense). I never went back. Maybe a month later I ran into the cook who used to work at Lisa’s when Lisa was in charge. Him and his wife were cooks and when Don Vega took over Jorge and his wife had to go. That’s when it hit me when my food was so poorly done. Jorge and his wife who used to make the food at Lisa’s are now at “Mister Taco” which is literally around the corner from “Don Vega”. Again I am not here to bash anyone I hope the best for the the new owners but their food is not it. I went to “Mister Taco” moving forward and so glad I did. First off the prices are outrageous. Beef bacon cheese grits 11.50 toast is extra. I can get a pack of beef bacon from C town for 9.00. So cheap grits costs 2.50. This is robbery. The prices change weekly. She’s rude. What you want is no way to greet customers. All the money she makes she could afford to buy nice pots and pans. They are old and used. It’s the pots and pans from her home. The store needs to be cleaned. It’s filthy around the food counter. The old guy at the front is also rude. They never give slight specials to their customers. I’ll never spend another dime in this rat trap. She told me if I didn’t get grits with cheese I can’t buy anything. How you gonna make me spend my money. They could not have passed inspection. First time trying the restaurant. I ordered the encebollado and it was very delicious, I also ordered the mote pillo and it was good. To drink I ordered the blackberry juice ( jugó de mora) and it was very delicious. I give it 4 stars because I ordered the guatita and it was not good , it needs more flavor and seasoning. I don't recommend the guatita for now but the rest was good!
