Good foods can be deceiving; beware—not a clean place.
While Paul’s Place (fast food) restaurant does have excellent food; other things are more important than just …food that need to be considered when dining at an eatery restaurant; and that is, hygiene and cleanliness. Two most important disciplines and practices that must be in place and maintained first for customers’ health; and that is cleanliness.
This is the third time I’ve been at the said restaurant and each time the men’s restroom was dirty and smelly and trashed all over the place from toilet paper to paper towels. This time was no different and worse.
In the past (because my friends have invited me to join them at the said restaurant). Each time I have briefly used the restroom and made the comment… that is lacking in cleanliness and disinfectant.
However, I wasn’t going to pass judgment by one or even two visits at Paul’s Place. But yesterday, March 21, 2025, was the worse—hideous. The men’s restaurant was smelly, unsightly, and repulsive.
It was the worst that I have seen than in the previous two times. Not only did it have a very bad order and trash all over the toilet floor and throughout the restroom. There wasn’t any toilet seat covers and no toilet paper.
But the straw that broke the camels back that I will never go back to Paul’s Place, was the response from I received from the order taker/cashier. When I informed her that the men’s restroom needed attending and to be resupplied with toilet seat covers and toilet paper; her response was: we don’t put toilet seat covers in the restroom, and I’ll get to the restroom as soon as I can.
The fact that the restroom is constantly dirty and smelly, and above all, that eatery establishment does not provide toilet seat covers for customer use is worse than being disgusting. It is a extremely important health issue. Now I don’t know if that’s a requirement and it’s inspected by the Department of health services of Orange County; but it’s something to be considered.
If hygiene, disinfectant and cleanliness is not important to the owner; and that is very evident by how filthy and dirty the restroom is. Then what can I expect from the cooks and the serving staff. I can’t help to think this lack of hygiene and cleanliness is transported or passed to the kitchen area and to the cooks and serving staff.
Hygiene is extremely important to me (as is more likely to other patrons). For this reason, I will never go back to Paul’s Place Restaurant. Now, you don’t have to take my word for it. You could used Paul’s Place… restroom at your own peril and learned the hard way.
Now, Paul’s Place is not going to go bankrupt with me no longer purchasing their food. But at the same time other eateries offer the same excellent food, and cleaned men’s restrooms. Now, Paul‘s Place food is excellent, not at the cost of my health. It’s up to you you want take the chance; not I, I...
Read morePaul’s Place in Orange is one of those laid-back spots that always hits the mark when you’re craving comfort food. The vibe is super chill, like a classic diner but with a modern twist, and the menu is way more versatile than you’d expect. Sure, they’ve got all the diner staples—burgers, sandwiches, all-day breakfast—but they also mix in some solid Mexican and Greek-inspired options that keep things interesting.
My go-to? It’s a toss-up between the Philly cheesesteak and the pastrami sandwich. The Philly is loaded with tender, flavorful steak, melted cheese, and grilled onions—all packed into a soft, toasted roll that holds everything together perfectly. The pastrami is just as satisfying—juicy, seasoned well, and piled high, exactly how a good pastrami sandwich should be.
Portions are generous, prices are reasonable, and the staff is always friendly without being over-the-top. It’s the kind of place you can grab a quick bite solo or sit and catch up with friends without feeling rushed. Whether you’re in the mood for classic comfort or something with a little twist, Paul’s Place delivers. It’s become a regular stop for me—and once you try it,...
Read moreThe heavy set hispanic cook threw my food on the counter and left the fries spilled everywhere. I observed him carelessly throw my food while he placed the others gently. I got a full refund as the owner picked up the fries from the cooks carelessness. The owner offered me the food with my refund but I rejected because of how careless the cook was with my order and showed no remorse. When people show carelessness and no remorse in their line of work (especially the food & beverage industry) I stay far away because I’d rather eat at home. It’s sad when fast food restaurants provide better service than small businesses. They didn’t even apologize when the lady up front said something. Two grown men playing with other adults good. This is where we are in America and it’s sad. Billy boys is right up the street and provides...
