I used to love Quiznos but many of them have closed down. I have been to this location in Orange CT a couple of times but the quality has gone down. Last time I went, I ordered a broccoli cheddar soup on the app and when I got there, they said they donāt make that soup and offered no sort of substitution or apology. Iām wondering why would an item even be offered on the app. They can simply remove the item from being ordered to avoid this.
Today (Dec 16, 2023), I tried to redeem a buy one get one free sub that was offered to me in the app but I couldnāt do it. When I got to the store, they pointed to a sign that said they donāt accept coupons. I simply asked why and the owner walks over and in a snarky way said āwhy would I give away something for free. Thatās not good business.ā I hate to break it to this guy, but he owns a corporate chain fast food restaurant. Coupons are a very normal part of the business and itās not going to break the profit margins. Coupons drive business to fast food places. I decided to not even order any food because the owner just had a nasty attitude. I went out to the car and told my wife and she was so surprised that she had to go in and see for herself. She didnāt tell the owner she was my wife but asked about the coupon situation. The owner had the AUDACITY to get an attitude with my wife and said, I just talked to your husband, I donāt need to repeat myself to you. He was so rude. His wife started speaking to him in what I believe was Hindi in order to calm him down because was getting mad about asking him a simple question. He calmed down after his wife spoke to him but there was no reason for him to get angry or so provoked. He was the one who was rude to begin with. He has clear anger issues and in my opinion bad business practices.
Quiznos used to be such a great sub place with unique sandwiches but they are far and few between now. Then you have experiences like this and it makes me not want...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI typically like this Quiznos. The owner is friendly and the workers are too. Unfortunately, I came in today to get a sandwich for dinner and there was young woman and an older woman behind the counter. The older woman put on a fresh pair of gloves and the younger did not. She kept her gloves on from the sandwich made prior. No big deal for me but if I was someone with food allergies that would be a problem. The policy should be to change gloves between sandwiches anyway. Especially in this day and age. The older woman began to prepare my sandwich and the younger woman got the cup to register the meat. She then pulls at the front part of her mask with her gloves on. Ugh! Hopefully the heat will kill the germs I think to myself. When the sandwich came out she then places her germy gloved fingers on all my chicken pieces seemingly to place them neatly on the sandwich but it was unnecessary. She then placed her hands on the countertop of the rotating oven as she waited for my food to go through again since she forgot the mushrooms. It totally turned me OFF. I purchased the sandwich(because I like this Quiznos and the owner) but I immediately tossed it in the trash. She needs to be trained in food handling or stick to the register if she's not aware of her hands. Also, only ONE person should prepare one sandwich. I won't be back but I gave it three stars for the past visits that...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe were looking forward to some great food from the LAST Quizno's in CT. I called to verify the hours and was told they close at 7:00 pm We made sure to get there by 6:00 pm as to not delay their efforts to close on time. This Quizno is on the Post Rd in Orange - we were not just passing by but drove in from Derby. When we arrived all the chairs were on the tables and we asked if we could eat in and were told - " the dining room is closed". My husband asked if was possible to sit at one of the tables and were directed to one small table for use. We ordered sandwiches and I was able to add a soup as well. Food was great - attitude of the employees was not. We felt very unwelcome and I felt like when I asked for anything I was bothering them. Another couple came in after us to order and chose to eat in also and were allowed to. This was the first Quizno's to open in CT, the original owners were wonderful people. It is now the last Quizno's that is open in CT and sadly not a welcoming place at all. We definitely will never eat here again.
After speaking with the owner of the Quizno's we were invited to come back for a better experience. We dined in this past Saturday evening and were received much more warmly. Our food was excellent as always! Quite a few people were coming in - ordering both take out and eating inside. I'm happy to say we'll be back to enjoy this...
