Duchess Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Orange

Me & my husband are regular customers, until today happened, we will never be back, we are very dissatisfied after today, Disrespectful, unpleasant, & very very poor service experience early this morning, My husband is a blk. guy & I am a white lady from the moment we walked in the door there was a problem, at your Orange CT. location, worst exspierience ever, we were brought out of our character because of the experience we got from the start, we are not going to tolerate disrespect from employees when we are the ones paying I made sure I contacted corporate when we got home, The cashiers name is Kayla, & there was a drive through older lady that came out & running off with her mouth saying that we needed to respect kids, is that an excuse or reason that you cant respect adults or customers are you serious my grown kids even have more respect, & you cant be a kid if you are old enough to obtain a job, You both obviously don't care about your job or the customers that come in & the reason you all have a paycheck, after the whole situation is the reason which turned us to get angry & irate by the Disrespectful behavior & actions we were given & gestures, This happened at 7:00 am this morning, we came in the door with laughing with eachother & good intentions until the situation happened, we didn't get upset for no reason, Manger came out & the 2 employees were still giving disrespectful behavior gestures, even when the manager was standing right there, & we are the paying customers & we just paid for our food. we will nerver ever be back again. You need to teach your employees to be respectful towards customers & not be on there phones in the front & in front of customers it was the attitudes & face gestures & snatching my card & talking out loud so the customers hear right before we were getting ready to walk out the door the older drive through lady started talking * we didn't get angry & upset for no reason. If you don't correct this problem & situation there could be other incidents that you may get that one customer that things may not end well Because of employees & a buisness that occurred today, No one got time for all that disrespect & we don't care about those attitudes that you have.. Absolutely the best burger I’ve ever had at a drive through. Makes Five Guys look like White Castle. Duchess is a Connecticut Gem, and it deserves nationwide recognition. People say you have to try “In and Out” in California once in your life, well the same should be said for Duchess. CROWN JEWEL...THE Duchess Double D cheeseburger, loaded with all the toppings, thick pickle slice, thick juicy tomato, combined with a lettuce ketchup mayo combo that makes you drool. WHERE EVER YOU LIVE IN THE WORLD it’s worth a trip to DUCHESS. Worlds BEST Fast Food Burger. Also the employees at this location. Are extremely kind and make you feel like coming back regardless of the incredible burgers. Not to mention the best egg sandwiches you can get at a fast food joint built on a gorgeous hard roll. It was the first time I didn't get take-out or breakfast, and I have to say, I was a bit disappointed. I ordered a double-cheese burger and curly fries for my kiddo, which he enjoyed. Because I wasn't super hungry, I got one of the kid's meals. I've never seen such a skinny hamburger patty! I mean, this thing was about as thick a a fettuccine noodle. The taste was nothing to brag about, either.

We were with friends who ordered chicken strips and a chicken patty sandwich. The strips were great; the sandwich ok. What was bizarre is the crew forgot to include the sauce my friend paid extra for, and when she brought it to their attention they gave her a hard time over it and tried to charge her again! Seriously, she's standing there with her order and receipt and they are giving her grief!!
