Subway — Restaurant in Orange

I wanted a meatball sub, they ran out. I wanted a Italian herb and cheese bread, they ran out. So I settled for a regular Italian bread. The bread started to fall apart when I was eating it and I didn’t even toast it. Also I’m an uber driver and we get complimentary drinks and cookies but this cashier didn’t want to honor it. She said the promotion was over, when clearly it says it was still active in my app. I think she was racist and didn’t give anything I asked for. I had to settle for something I normally don’t order. I think she just wanted me to get something what was easy for her to do just to make her job easier. She also started talking to me in Spanish, when I don’t speak or understand that language. And if you’re a manager reading this, I went in on a tuesday at 10pm. I suggest you find out who worked that night and tell her to show customers...

I’ve been going to Subway for years—at least 3 times a week. That’s how much I love it. At every location I’ve ever visited, I’ve never once been charged for extra olives. But today, at this location, I was shamed for even asking.

The employee behind the counter told me, “I’m giving you the regular amount,” and when I said I didn’t mind paying (even though I’ve never been charged anywhere else across California), she reluctantly added more. At checkout, she said, “This time I won’t charge you, but next time I will.”

Here’s the thing: I don’t mind paying for extras—but if you’re going to charge customers, there needs to be a clear sign stating that policy. Otherwise, it feels unfair and misleading.

I have visited this site 3 times and each time I the charges differ.

I noticed when I visited during the day I got 1 scoop of pastrami for my footlong sandwich and all the veggies I wanted.

Go for the same sandwich at night I got 2 scoops of pastrami and told the sandwich was full and could not get all the veggies I wanted.

Plus the evening woman who works the counter is more rude claiming her boss won’t let her give all the veggies you ask for.

She is very skimpy when making your sandwich plus she doesn’t cut the bread open all the way. A trick I noticed she did to put less toppings.

Perhaps other customers have had better experiences. But I wanted to advise people about these differences I noticed when buying...
