Dairy O — Restaurant in Orangeburg

I am not sure how this place has a 4 star rating. The food is DISGUSTING! I ordered some lunch for my family, I ordered, chilli cheddar dog, a bacon cheese burger, fries, onion rings and a fish basket, everything was disgusting and that is without talking about how oily everything is. The food smells disgusting as well. I wish I was a secret shopper. The owners need to send secret shoppers to witness the food, quality of food and your workers smh... . I don't know if my experience would be different during a differt part of the day, but it would seem that 3:30 would be a good time. There are too many itemized disgusting things that I can say about everything that I ordered but for the sake of my time and space alloted, I will let you use you imagination. I don't know if this the food should be considered food. A shame. Smh.. I hate that I couldn't give them a negative 5 stars, the least you can...

Stopped here to eat with the family after many rave reviews from local friends. Can't say we're impressed. Curley burger was pretty good but the rest of our order was mediocre. Stopped in around 11 am and the dining room was filthy. Trash all over the floor and ALL the table tops were dirty. Looked over at the empty booth beside us and THERE WAS A PILE OF HAIR IN THE SEAT! (Wasn't a weave either.) Employees were cordial but never smiled and didn't appear to be thrilled to be there. Their ice cream was pretty good. Hot fudge on the sundae tasted more like molasses and less like chocolate but it was probably just the brand of fudge. Taste was too strong to finish. Strawberry shortcake and banana shake was very good. The only reason I gave 2 stars was because of their ham salad sandwich. It tasted great and reminded us of ham salad we grew up eating. We will be back but only for ham...

This place is definitely not worth the hype. I think being that this is one of the few restaurants in the downtown part of Orangeburg they get a lot of business. I’ve visited twice and nothing made me want to visit a third time. There is a good variety of food selections on the menu but I feel they are a bit pricey. The very first time I visited the cashier didn’t seem to be too knowledgeable about the food on the menu. I ended up getting a fish and shrimp basket. I asked the cashier before I made my purchase, how big the shrimp was. She told me it was “regular sized”, but I received popcorn shrimp which is their “regular size”. I also asked her what kind of fish came with the meal. She told me “regular” fish; I got a frozen fish patty.
