Sunday Girl Griddle in Orangeburg delivers exceptional dishes that rivals the best restaurants in Charleston and Columbia. During my recent visit, I ordered the New Orleans BBQ Shrimp and Grits alongside the Pecan Praline Chicken and Waffles, and both dishes exceeded expectations in every way. The shrimp&grits was made to order and served piping hot, it had rich flavors that transported me straight to the French Quarter. The portion was generous – every forkful found another plump, perfectly seasoned shrimp. The quality and preparation honestly surpass what I've experienced at several well-known establishments in Charleston and Columbia. The chicken was expertly prepared and paired beautifully with 3 small waffles that struck the perfect texture – crispy on the outside, fluffy within, and never tough or dense. The pecans added a nice crunch that elevated each bite without overwhelming the dish. This is comfort food done right. Highly recommended for anyone seeking elevated comfort food in a...
Read moreI ordered them through Unber eats- I give every small business a chance. I was worried umm got to bring to Bamberg, I didn’t know how it would do. Well, sit down- you know the old saying the can “burn” or they put their “foot” in it- OH MY GOD IN HEAVEN!! First the food arrived hot and beautiful. The presentation of the food in its take out containers was placed properly. I got the baked potato bite with cheese- I expected a little tiny something- think again! It was so much I had to put some in the fridge. I got the Fried fish play and again the fish was seasoned just right- it could have used just a little more pinch of salt and the Cajun but the fish was amazing. The dirty Cajun rice was also the bomb- I would like them to offer something that you could put on the rice to just get it a little wetter. I think maybe that would be when you buy the jambalaya?? Well, I will close with this- it was the VERY FIRST time that I have EVER called a restaurant...
Read moreIt was a little hard to find, but we were so glad when we found it!! We ordered shrimp & grits, sausage & Cajun country bowl and the two eggs platter. The food was amazing and extremely flavorful! The service was great and they kept checking to see how everything was. The set-up was the only thing that took us by surprise. We expected “typical” eat-in experience especially when we saw black tablecloths, versus to-go plates and bowls for dine-in. Aside from that, feel this restaurant has a lot of potential to continue to grow and bring lots of great food and entertainment to the area. On our way out, we chatted with who I believe was the owner or manager and learned they will have different types of events throughout the week as well - live music, karaoke, etc. It’s a very great concept and plan, with the perfect location given the proximity to State and Claflin. I would...
