Woodville Diner — Restaurant in Oregon

My wife and I eat here fairly often and are usually pretty satisfied. The bacon usually tastes like it was cooked the day before and the breakfast ham is much too thin, so thin that it has no taste. It used to be much thicker and tastier, But today I went in for breakfast and it was terrible. I ordered the breakfast special and after a considerable wait I received my food MINUS...no utensils, no napkins, No potatoes, burnt toast and the waitress asked if everything looks OK. I sent the toast back and a few minutes later she returned with what I am sure was the same toast so I sent that back and and asked for thicker toast. When she brought that she asked if I needed anything else and I said utensils, napkins, and my potatoes would be nice but by the time I received that my eggs and bacon was cold. After I finished eating I waited for approximately 10 min.for my bill but it never came. When I got to the register to pay, the young waitress was standing there and she said "Oh I'm sorry, but I was just getting ready to bring it to you. Now, I understand sometimes waiters/ waitresses are having a hard day but this was terrible, almost comical. Of course I thanked her and left, but I was extremely disappointed to say the least. Pretty disappointed this last experience and it's honestly enough that we will never go back. 10:17am , My sister and I walked into a fairly busling diner (about 6 tables sat) with our 2 girls and proceeded to find a booth down in the lower level and in the corner. We even grabbed our own highchair and booster because we saw the 3 servers moving around and helping others. NBD. We get settled and it's now 10:19. Someone comes by and let's us know they'll be with us in a moment. Perfect. We weren't in any rush. 10:23 and no one has come by, so my sister goes to the restroom and gives me her order. In this time now, another table of 7 or so, a table of 3 and a 2 top walk in. The big party and 2 top were immediately brought menus and silverware. We still didn't have either. It's now 10:27, my sister returns and we still haven't been helped. 10:28 a single lady walks past and sits in the booth 2 from us. She is immediately brought a menu, silverware and gets her drink ordered. It's now 10:29 and we have been sitting for over 10 minutes still with nothing in front of us. We then decided to leave. October 8th 2023 @ 9:30 AM My son & I were greeted fine, ordered our meals. The food was very good, however the service while paying with a card wasn’t pleasant to say the least. The young girl working the register hadn’t mentioned anything to us about leaving a tip nor how too during our transaction, then while signing the receipt the young girl walks off and whispers to the older lady. She then aggressively walks over to the register grabbed the receipt with an hateful attitude she yells out “Thanks for not tipping.” Going on in saying; “I hate it when people don’t tip.” While doing so, every customer seen & heard the commotion, giving a reaction of OMG. Very unprofessional behavior indeed, in fact the lady should not be working in customer service period. My son offered in tipping but was ignored, being left to believe those whom left to pay for their meals are to be pressured into leaving a huge tip. Unprofessional behavior does not earn tips and should be taken up with the management in behalf of their mannerisms. We won’t be back when the treatment is very disrespectful. Thanks...
