Jimmy John's — Restaurant in Orland Township

On 9/21/22 around 12pm I submitted an order through DoorDash which showed this location was accepting delivery orders. After placing my order I get a call from a white male who tells me they don’t have drivers and I would need to come pick my order up. Mind you I am at work and my whole reasoning for placing the order through DoorDash is because the workers were not answering in the first place. I told the worker I would not be able to pick this order up, he said then you will need to call DoorDash customer service to get your money back, I mentioned that it’s is there job to cancel the order through DoorDash to let them know they can not fulfill the order. I told the worker why do they show they are accepting delievery orders on DoorDash if they aren’t, he tells me they “forgot” to turn it off. I then get on the phone with the young man’s ignorant white Female co worker, who yells “I don’t care if you get your money back, that’s not my problem” she then proceeded to hang up in my face. I called back and got the ignorant woman’s name which is “Kayla” if they were even telling the truth. If this is how This location deals with problems I would never recommend anyone to even get a free cup of water from them. The ignorant white female needs to be fired for how she speaks to customers, I will make sure I keep complaining until they get rid of this entitled ignorant woman. I'd give this place 0 stars if I could. I ordered a sandwich and BBQ chips for pickup. I found out they forgot to put my chips in the bag after I got home. The restaurant was completely empty when I walked in, so I was surprised that they forgot my chips. Also, my order was the only one on the shelf. Pretty pathetic they can't get one order correct. I can't imagine what they would do if they were actually busy. I asked for my money back for the chips I didn't receive, and they still won't give it to me. I guess I made a donation to Jimmy Johns. I read other reviews, and they're spot on. They have high school kids working here who don't care at all. I won't eat here ever again, and I'll tell anyone I can to avoid this place. People don't take pride in their business anymore. I'd be EMBARRASSED if I was this franchise's owner. Definitely stay away from this location.

I frequently visit the surrounding area, and the Starbucks right next door (who have amazing customer service btw). I decided to try out this location today. They were empty, and staff standing stagnant so I decided it was the perfect time to try. I really wish I hadn’t! Entering, I cheerful said “Hello!” To which I was met with silence and blank stares. I blinked a few times at the cashier who just glanced at me dryly and said, “how can I help you 😒”. As a fellow business owner I was a bit taken aback, and wanted to walk out then. But I continued to place my order, and wait for my food a bit annoyed. Staff members walked right by me while sitting; no greeting, not even a smile.
