This restaurant is probably one of the better Chinese style food Iāve eaten at in a U.S. airport after check in. I ordered noodles, pepper steak, vegetables, and chicken with mushrooms. The fried noodles were actually quite close to the Taiwanese flavor, and the black pepper sauce had a style that felt very Taiwanese. Overall, it was a little bit salty, but personally, I think it was tasty. If youāre worried about it being too salty, you can order an extra bowl of riceāit goes really well with the dishes.
Even one star feels like too much for this service quality. Unfortunately, my flight was canceled yesterday, and the airline gave me some compensation vouchers to use for food at the airport, each worth USD 12. I had visited this restaurant around the same time yesterday and thought the food was pretty good, so I decided to come back today while waiting for my flight.
Butāthereās always a ābut.ā
First point ā voucher usage rules: The voucher canāt be applied to the total bill; it can only be used toward a single menu item. I have no issue with this rule itselfāI just want to remind everyone that their tone when explaining it was extremely rude.
Second point ā service attitude: Throughout the process, I kept asking politely about how to use the voucher, because at other vendors, I had no problem applying it to the total amount, and they also allowed me to pay the remaining balance by credit card. This place, however, kept insisting the balance had to be paid in cash. The staff member explained it impatiently the whole time, and when it came time to pay, they simply walked away and had another person handle the checkout.
Let me emphasize again: I have no issue with their rules for using the voucher. The problem is that from the start, it felt like they saw the voucher as an annoyance and treated customers accordingly. If they donāt want to accept these vouchers, they can simply tell the airline they donāt want to cooperate. Clear explanation at the beginning would be perfectly fineāwhat needs improvement is the service attitude.
Food: Still okay overall, though the sweet and sour pork sauce was a bit too sweet for my taste. Itās just a shame my dining mood was affected. Thanks to the chefs for...

This one I donāt know if I can say that I would never go again since there really arenāt that many options at the airportš« - basically choosing something that sucks less from a couple other options that all suckš¤·š»āāļø I got noodles with orange chicken and āfreshā vegetables (what they had on the little sign in front of the food, I personally wouldnāt call it thatš). I wanted to have half noodles and half fried rice, but they refused to let me do that and just told me that they canāt do it. Iāve done this at other locations and there were no issues at all so Iām not sure why I couldnāt do that at the location in the airportš The āfreshā vegetables had all these black parts in it, Iām not sure if they just didnāt clean it thoroughly or if itās because of some other issues. Also, they donāt actually ācookā the food on the spot since itās an airport location and they just have all the food in those steamer or heater kinda thing for a pretty long time. I was there around 4:30 pm local time, not sure how long the food has been sitting there but they had a bit of a sour tasteš«¤Luckily I exercise regularly and have a pretty healthy body so nothing happened to me after...
