if i could give this place 10 stars, i would.. i have never been to a place that has been so thoughtful to both parent and child. Aesthetically, its gorgeous— "kid" places are usually filled with plastic toys where we leave totally overwhelmed and over stimulated— here, the play space is decorated in a calm way where form and function meet. Our first time, my son used "the burrow" for almost his entire hour of play, climbing up and sliding down.. he made friends with other kids there, and he didn't look twice at me he had so much fun. He begged to go back the next day, so I brought my computer hoping to get some work in. I worked in the party room, where my son (and other kids!) created a play with script, parts, and even costumes. It was the sweetest thing i've ever seen. The play attendant (Kat) was bopping in and out of the play area to check on the bigs, while still monitoring the littles. Everyone was so attentive and kind, especially the owners, it was nice to see them meeting people (especially the kids). I havent seen anyone take the time like they did, especially in the hustle and bustle of a packed house— i don't know how they did it. Opening day was busy and lots of people were complaining about not having reservations— we didn't have that issue, because they've been very transparent on their social media channels about booking a reservation. Parking was tricky at the opening, but i assume it's because they had outside vendors for their grand opening that took up some spots, but we found street parking with no issues, and i was able to grab a sweet little bouquet from one of the vendors! The second day we went, we had no trouble finding parking in the lot.

The coffee is amazing, I am not a sugary-sweet coffee drinker, so i took a chance on the honey badger— it was so good, I had it hot the first day, and iced the second day, both were delish— not syrupy sweet, but just enough to feel like a little treat. I also had an iced americano, (my standard drink) which was 5 stars. My son was obsessed with the kid's food options— which are all healthy, so i didn't have to monitor what he chose. I had an onion and cheese pastry while he played. I work from home, so having an option where i can go and get some work done, while my kid gets to have fun is such a needed relief. I can't wait for the monthly memberships to come out—we'll be first...

Great place with comfortable vibes. I got a black mango tea that was the perfect level of sweet and refreshing. My drink was within 5 minutes of ordering, and the employees were very friendly.

The reason this missed 2 stars is because when approached I was approached about the parking situation, I was told that I couldn’t stay parked here even though I bought a drink. I said “okay” and started to walk to my car to leave, however the person enforcing parking continued with “or I’m losing customers”. I’m sure the person wasn’t having the greatest time having to repeat himself to multiple people in the Florida heat- but it didn’t sit right to me to hear that. That gave me the impression that my business wasn’t just as important, or I was just a sales number to them. I went to leave the moment he told me to, and -never- even asked “why, I paid for the drink???” so I’m not sure why that comment was necessary. If he said that in a response to me looking sad about it, it was better to just keep that part to himself.

To be honest, I would’ve never checked out the place if not for a pop-up going on, and was incentivized to go inside to purchase a drink since I wasn’t able to park unless I was a customer there. When I went inside, the place looked very charming, and I thought about taking my friends here to hang out and catch up, and taking my little siblings after seeing the happy kids leaving the area. After that, my intention was to grab a quick bite from mills and leave within 15-30 minutes.

Even though I paid for a drink and was disappointed I would have to miss out on the pop-up, I didn’t contest the parking and just left when told. I understand the nature of the place requires parking to be readily available and there’s a policy to enforce, but you can at least pretend to not only care about money. Instead of saying, “I’m losing customers”, you can say “we need these spaces for the kid events we host.”

As someone who has lived in Orlando for her entire 20+ years of her life, it’s hard to support a local business if this is my first impression of the place. I’ll be glad to change my review or remove it entirely with a simple apology (doesn’t even have to be more than a sentence). This place looks very promising, and I did enjoy the drink so I’d otherwise be glad to check...

Ummm are you kidding me?! This place is the answer to all of my parenting prayers, of which there have been many. With three kids five and under (and also all boys) we’ve had the hardest time finding spaces that are fun and safe for all three. The Burrow is it! The one and only! And tremendous bonus points for being an incredibly aesthetic space that I also want to spend time in. I nearly resigned myself to the fact that the boys and I would never find a place that we equally enjoyed, and this beautiful unicorn of a coffee shop/play space has proven me wrong! A MIRACLE!

The kids love the snack selection, and I love the drinks. I’ve even been back without kids to enjoy a honey latte! Every employee I’ve interacted with has been exceptional, and the play attendants are beyond helpful making sure there are eyes on everyone at all times. When I have to turn my back on one kid for a second to “watch this!” for another, I can live without fear that the younger ones are not wandering off or doing something dangerous.

I’ve seen some reviews mention parking, which has never been an issue for me. Opening day had vendors outside using some of the parking space (which was very well advertised), and information was given on where to park if the lot was full. We’ve always been able to pull right in.

I am SPRINTING for a monthly membership and plan to be here several times a week sipping my coffee while the kids enjoy their perfectly well-thought-out and curated space. My kids have been continually begging to go back to the “indoor playground,” and for maybe the first time, I am not only not cringing at their request, but equally excited to return. I’m in love with you, Burrow Cafe + Play! You thought...

Burrow in at this local spot and cozy up with some delectable bites! The Burrow is a tasty addition to the Mills 50 hood of Orlando (and a stone’s throw from Thorton Park). It’s warm, inviting, eclectic, and immersed with the local culture that makes O-Town the welcoming community that it is. Bring the fam! This joint is kid-friendly and even offers space for birthday parties for your wee ones. But don’t let that stop you from enjoying a local craft beer from Ravenous Pig, or grabbing a “mom-osa” to spike your day with a bit of jazz. Everyone is welcome, and the staff make you feel that way. Try any of the toasts and you’re in for a treat. Accompany it with a pistachio “mo” from the secret menu (it’s not so secret, just ask for it or check behind the counter). The pastries are mouth-watering, and get there early for the bagels - courtesy of a local home chef that will schmear your expectations for doughy goodness. Bring your laptop or a good book and sit at the bar. The Burrow is the perfect place for a spot of brunch, a cool coffee break, or a little shindig with the kiddos. A total gem of a community gathering place - don’t miss it.

We brought our little one here before opening and had the most amazing time. I can see this being a mainstay of the community for both parents AND adults without kids. The space is gorgeous and clean. They serve delicious coffee by Lineage and the pastries and child food options were tasty. Every single little thing has been well thought through, and it shows. All the staff were calm, friendly, happy, with a clear love of little ones. The space is calming and low stimulation which my tot picked up on instantly. She was far more comfortable and at ease here than she's ever been in another restaurant or play space. The child play room has doors that close and attendants that watch the children and facilitate play. I've never seen that before but it is a great idea, my tot played longer without my intervention which is everything. They had spaces to climb, pretend play, and puzzles, all well organized and not overwhelming. I'd say the children most likely to enjoy and flourish in this space are crawlers to preschoolers. We cannot wait to return!
