My husband and I had dined at Little Saigon many many years ago. On Friday we were driving to Hawkers for dinner when we noticed Little Saigon and all the memories of the delicious stir fried pork with jalapeĂąo came flooding back. We said we will definitely come back. We drove back there yesterday but when we got there there was a sign at the door saying they were closed on Sundays. Desperate for Vietnamese food we started walking and came across Anh Hong.
When we walked in, a Hispanic gentleman noticed us. He directed us where to sit and brought us a high chair. Then he was working so hard helping other customers all over the restaurant but no body else came to our table for the longest time. I wanted a real menu to look at so after waiting a long time, I walked back to the cashier counter. There were 4 servers on their phones and the owner or manager in a beautiful Lilly dress. I asked her for the menu, she apologized, handed me a menu and sent one of the servers to our table.
I wanted my babies fed first so I asked for a plain broth with some beef and tofu with a side of rice for them. It took forever to come for some reason. When it arrived, the broth was absolutely delicious and my babies loved it.
We ordered the following: Singha Beer for my husband Banh Mi with grilled pork Chicken Wing mild for the babies Rice platter with short rib (91) Stir fried pork with lemon grass and chili (121). Also when I checked in to Yelp, I was offered a free 2 piece summer roll
My husband and I really enjoyed the Banh Mi. It is one of the best we have ever had. The bun was nice and crispy and the meat was grilled to perfection. First bite and you could tell it was freshly made.
I didn't try the chicken wings but both my babies really seemed to enjoy it which made this mamma really happy.
My husband said he really loved his stir fried pork with lemon grass and chili. He said it was delicious, he enjoyed the sauce but next time he will ask for it without carrots and celery.
I really enjoyed each and every bite of my rice platter. Everything on my plate tasted absolutely delicious. The hot chili oil provided at the table took my meal to the next level.
Oh I forgot to mention, it seems our server completely forgot about our "free summer roll". We waited forever for it but didn't receive it so my husband walked to the back and had to ask our server for it. He apologized and brought it for us. It was delicious.
I also really appreciated that there was hand sanitizers in every single table.
Another thing I really appreciated was how clean the restroom was.
Other than the long wait in the beginning, we truly enjoyed our delicious lunch. We could tell each and every dish was freshly prepared. We will...
Read moreBest Vietnamese in Orlando, hands down, maybe all of Florida. Festive atmosphere and really friendly and superb service. It just doesn't get any better than this.
We had to stay away far too much during the pandemic and while the baby turned into a toddler. But now we can reasonably go out again so Anh Hong is once again amongst the regular places.
Whether you want the pho or the fresh bakery sandwiches or the whole fried fish, or the crab claw sticks packed in shrimp paste then deep fried, or anything else in between, you simply cannot go wrong at this place.
Feels like home and we are treated like we are at home. Valued. Cared for. And this started over a dozen years ago for me personally, always felt like a VIP here. That has not changed, and has gotten better if anything.
Price is totally reasonable especially for the huge portions. And it's all the good stuff. Not overloaded with grease, not full of garbage meat, you're really getting the best here.
We are picky and this place really suits us. But we don't pay extra to get the good stuff. Everything is just great value.
It's clean. Yes, it's close quarters because it's an old place in an old storefront, just as it has been since it opened 20 years ago or whatever here on the corner of Colonial and Mills.
Quality here has never gone down, only up. Prices have risen only slightly even with the latest inflation.
You certainly don't need to be Asian, or crave Asian food, to want to come here and eat. There's something for everybody. It's mostly Viet cuisine but it's so broad in the choices, and so fresh in each choice, no matter what you like best you're going to find it here.
It can be as simple as a pork chop. It can be as simple as a beautiful mix of spring vegetables or Vietnamese summer rolls, super fresh with shrimp and pork. Or vegetarian or vegan if you require.
Impossible to say enough good about Anh Hong, so I'm going to leave it at this. You really need to get over here and...

I canât say enough good things about Anh Hongâit truly deserves every bit of 5 stars across the board.
Food: The flavors here are absolutely incredibleâauthentic, fresh, and cooked with so much care. Every dish bursts with richness and balance, from the comforting pho to the vibrant vermicelli plates and appetizers that feel like little works of art. The portions are generous without sacrificing quality, and you can tell each ingredient is fresh and thoughtfully prepared. Every bite makes you want to slow down and savor it.
Service: The staff here go above and beyond. Theyâre warm, welcoming, and treat you like family the moment you walk through the door. Attentive without ever being intrusive, they check in at just the right times, always with a smile, and you can feel their pride in the food and the culture theyâre sharing. It feels personal and genuine, which makes the whole dining experience even better.
Atmosphere: Cozy, inviting, and full of charm. Whether you come alone, with family, or with friends, you immediately feel at ease. The restaurant is clean, beautifully kept, and has a warm energy that makes you want to stay a little longer after the meal. Itâs the kind of place where conversations flow easily because the setting feels so comfortable.
Overall, Anh Hong is not just a restaurantâitâs an experience. You donât just come here to eat; you come here to feel cared for, to enjoy authentic flavors that transport you, and to share in the kind of atmosphere that makes lasting memories. This is easily one of my favorite spots, and I canât wait to come back again and again. Btw âMyâ was our waitress hands down she truly know how to take care of us without missing a beat. Very caring and attentive a rare thing...
