I get it now!
After being more plant based.. I get it now. I keep returning so It must be good...
What did I get. After my first encounter with the tenders, it was okay. Ive then went back for the Death Valley and the other time for the chopped cheese and buffalo sub. The death valley - Definitely very good! Better than the tenders I had before...and I am not even a sandwich person! I like that the sandwich isn't dry and too breaded and tasted very good all together. Chopped Cheese and buffalo sub - I am glad to see these are now permanent on the menu, so I was finally able to try this. Both sandwiches were equally good. There was ALOT of chicken in the sub! and the chopped cheese was flavorful. Biscuit is still dry but that is expected, and yes I get one EVERYTIME! Not sure what it is, maybe the name of the place, you just have to.
Environment The environment is still the same. It is inside the east end market with the line outside. One party at a time to order. Parking is crazy! As there are so many nice places for so little cars.... LIKE COME ON! There is a decent amount of outdoor seating, which can be hot during summer and bad during the rain but amazing in great weather... heh..
Niceness of the staff The staff is always super nice, they all seem very passionate about the menu and product. They seem genuine in giving suggestions about the food items.
Dollar It is still expensive... This is a treat for me... $12 for each item and it doesn't come with anything... no fries, nothing. The fries are always good!
Yes? I do always find myself here... what else have I not tried yet...
*(6 months ago): I can see the likes....
(Covid-19: Line starts in front of the door with 6 feet marks for social distancing. Staff are wearing masks and customers are required to wear masks - this is also for East end market since they are located inside. Don't accept cash, only cards)
What did I get Disclaimer: I am plant based... and flexitarian, so I do occasionally eat meat I got the WPBC 3 piece tender. This tender comes with pieces of Chikn tenders, a biscuit, fries and a sauce (I got herb mayo). The biscuit was good in terms of texture. I was surprised that the biscuit was so sweet... I had imagined it being more savory from all the other biscuits ive had but this was very sweet compared to those. On to the tender, the tenders batter was very crunchy! Super crunchy, they hurt my poor teeth (in a good way). The meat on the inside I don't care for... no comments really. The fries were really good, very crispy. They got the heat of the oil down! Makes the tenders and fries super crispy. The herb mayo was surprisingly very herby. I really like these vegan oil based items, they aren't as oily as the "real" stuff...
Environment Located inside the East End market but with their own door. With that said, parking can be a hassle depending on when you go. I went in the morning around 11 and there barely was any parking..... and there also was a line. I can imagine the line will be line that.... so during the summer... yea.. There are many outdoor seating available as they are shared with all the other restaurants in the building
Niceness of the staff Greeted me very nicely, eager to give suggestions. Love it. Very friendly cashier. Other than the person taking order, I had no other staff interaction.
Dollar It was $13 for the box... I mean... I can think it is just a tad bit pricey but I understand... you do what you are good at.
Yes? Id go for another biscuit and MAYBE try the...
Read moreMe and my mom came on a Sunday after 2pm right out the gate the parking is trash, everybody and they Great Great grandmother was out there. People were parking in front of people houses continuously circling, trying to find parking close to the building. the parking strip behind the main parking lot was created for small compact cars which the sign says but people with their big pick up trucks didn’t care. Were crossing the lines making it hard for people to get a spot. When we realized we could just go the main road and park on the side of the road it was much better then to bunch up close the building trying to get parking, plus I didn’t mind a little walk to the restaurant. But once you get inside it’s super packed people standing around waiting on food and shopping. They only have like 4-5 barstools at the counter like a diner, but you will have to eat outside at the picnic tables. I didn’t realize they had so many other establishments in one building on the top floor and bottom floor, but it’s cool. When we finally got our food me and my mom immediately went to the car and ate because we haven’t eaten all day. Everything was good until I got to the loaded fries. The fries were not crispy. They tasted like mashed potatoes and my favorite food is potato. I don’t care how it’s cooked, grilled, mashed, sautéed, baked, fried etc. but I am a critic to how it’s cooked. If I order french fries I expect the fries to be crispy not soggy or mushy as if it was dipped in the oil for one second and pulled out, but because I am a potato lover I still enjoy them all the flavors and ingredients. just didn’t enjoy the texture. The chicken sandwich was amazing love the texture love the crispiness love the fresh lettuce and my mom enjoyed her burger. It was juicy a lot of flavor. We just forgot to get the biscuits which was one of the reasons we came but next time we have to come back and try the vegan biscuits. I highly recommend this place and would happily come back for the food just got to find out when is the best time to come to this restaurant without it being so busy...
Read moreReally excited that this place finally opened and was able to try it! This review is from ordering to the taste of the food. First while ordering we have to wait outside because of social distancing which makes sense but with Florida weather being hot, rainy, or cold in the later months this could pose a problem. We had to wait outside working up a sweat before even getting to the cashier. They didn’t have three items, the sweet gator sauce/banana bread milkshake/coleslaw which was a bit of a let down since they didn’t update their Instagram that they were out of these items and were the main reason I went. I got a chicken tender box which is suppose to come with all the sides but since there was no coleslaw they didn’t offer another alternative and still make you pay full price which I think they could potentially work on. I waited about 10-15 mins for it to be prepared which left me time to browse the market. Order experience 3/5.
The fries were amazing, they were like McDonald’s fries but amped up and were a great portion. The biscuit was soft and buttery, the butter I had had melted but it made it easier to spread on the biscuit. The chicken tender breading was really great and stuck to the meat very well. My only thing was I could definitely tell it was some sort of vital wheat gluten mix for the meat that I have tasted in other vegan chicken recipes. Also the sauce I got was very sweet, I think it was the mustard. It tasted more like icing than anything and I ended up just dipping the biscuit in it which was nice. I enjoyed the meal but I did wish I had that creamy coleslaw to combat all the savory in the main dishes. 4/5 for the food.
All in all I’m excited to see where this place goes, I’ll check in again if they ever add...
