Ever since Small Planet closed I’ve looked for something similar to the quality of their bread. I have seen breadsmith and decided to try it. I bought a French loaf and a whole wheat sliced. French wasn’t great, the crust was too hard. Whole wheat was wonderful! So I went back today early about 8:45 waited for my turn and wanted whole wheat. They had none. How disappointing, I would think this would be a staple of their inventory. It’s not convenient for me to make a trip there. I should have been told when the whole wheat would be back in stock, but I wasn’t. Because it takes me several days to go through a loaf I won’t be back for a while. I bought whole wheat from a grocery store that bakes in house. That bread is okay just not great. UPDATE: I just looked at the website… to my surprise under “ made daily “ is whole wheat!!! Yet they had...
Read moreWe so wanted to like this place but place doesn’t seem to like us 😄: this is our third time there over a few years and it’s gotten even worse. The store is empty of customers every time we go there and with good reason: bread is so bland that you better go to the nearby Fry’s or just about anywhere else. All bread seems to be sourdough only so I guess if you only eat sourdough it’s your place but otherwise no. Prices are crazy and selection is very limited. They have tables and chairs outside but serve no drinks, I can’t imagine that someone would just want to sit down with a piece of bread.😄 All different types of bread they have taste the same. If you want good bread the only places in the area are really Beyond Bread, Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s and Sprouts. Don’t waste your time and money, they really...
Read moreFirst ever visit here. I went here around 10 am to meet someone for business and figured we'd have a cup of coffee and a bagel. I for sure and most certainly found out from the curmudgeonly, older lady behind the counter that they do NOT serve coffee or bagels and even if they did SHE was NOT going to make any. When I asked if I could just order a slice of coffee cake, I was rudely made aware that I would have to buy the ENTIRE cake. I ended up order some cinnamon twist thing that was tasty but nothing special. I bought it to be polite, something the crusty woman behind the counter was completely in the dark about. I'm sure the product that comes out of this place is good but it's not got anything to do with the lack of customer service skills this woman is in...
