Subway 35619 — Restaurant in Oro Valley

Funny story, my mother and I stopped to get sandwiches for dinner at this Walmart location approximately @ 530pm. A young man came out and said to me "I'm here alone" I looked at him strangely and said "ok". He then said he didn't have the store managers phone number and then asked me to go to the subway location across the parking lot to retrieve this number from the employee working at that location. He told me he was scheduled to be off at 6pm and no one was there to take his place. Bewildered, I said I would. While waiting for my sandwiches I decided to call the other location to explain this mans dilemma. I called twice and let the phone ring endlessly with no answer both times. Sandwiches done and paid for, I drove to the other location and explained the situation. He looked at me like I was crazy, but he did call someone. I asked if I could speak with his manager but I was denied and told I needed to go through corporate to speak with him. Never even heard a thank you. I'm still...

Been coming to this Subway for about a year. It's convenient for me. Seen a high turn over rate for staff but that's normal. What's not normal is the arrogant, flippant attitude of one particular worker. Maddie (or at least that's what I think the tag on her hat says) is the worst. She's more worried about catching up with her co-workers than taking care of the guest. She had an argument with what I assume is her boyfriend in the dining area while her co-worker served all the guests. And today she opened and poured a new pouch of avocado right into the pan with the old. Having worked food service for years, I know for a fact that is a huge no no. (I'm ServSafe certified). Maybe management should be more present...

I just want to say that, on Saturday February 8th at 2:00pm. I ordered a Pepperoni, spinach leaves, pickles and green pepper 12" sandwich with sweet onion sauce on it. I ate all of the sandwich and by 8:00pm, I got sick and vomited all night long until 8:00 am the next morning and I could not keep any liquids down at all, I am positive that it was food poisoning from the spinach leaves. I am not sure if your team members wash the spinach or just dump it into the serving container from the package. Just letting you know about my experience at Subway. Not sure if any other patrons who ate the spinach that day got sick...
