Harvest Moon Deli — Restaurant in Orono

I called and placed a pick up order last night (11-26-2024) around 7:36pm. I ordered a Bacon Care of Business, my favorite sandwich from Harvest Moon! The guy on the phone was very adamant I was there before 8pm because he locks the door at that time. I pick it up and it was waiting for me when I walked in at 7:46pm. I give said person a tip and I walk out the door. Very simple. So I thought. I open up my paper bag, and I dive into my meal. Well this is weird. THERE’S NO BACON!!! Not a single crumb of bacon on my BACON CARE OF BUSINESS SANDWICH!!! What in the lazy incompetent I don’t do my job bull shit is this???????? Did you not want to cook bacon at that time because you were close to closing time? Did you not have bacon in stock? Did you run out of bacon for that day? I have lots of questions and I hope someone can answer them. This is a crying shame! Let me repeat…. NO BACON ON MY BACON CARE OF BUSINESS SANDWICH. Oh! And there was two pieces of spinach on it. Can’t forget that. There was cheese and a little avocado. The bread was grilled so I should be grateful for that I guess. DO BETTER...

Ordered the Bacon Care of Business, soda, and cookie as a delivery to University Academic Suites and it arrived SUPER fast! Cookie and sandwich were warm (as they should be) and the soda was cold (as it should be!). Delivery driver was very prompt, and super friendly. Sandwich was delicious, cookie was too, was definitely worth the money! PS when you order online through the Google listing, it automatically adds just a 15% tip (should really start at 20%). If the same happens to you, just call the Deli directly and ask them to add more to the tip.

I love harvest moon, the food is always delicious and the service is usually great. However, this last time I went it was horrible. The guy working the register didn’t acknowledge me at all for a good 10 seconds of me standing there and I had to initiate the order process. While I was paying he was drawing in his notebook and didn’t say a single word to me and after I asked him if I was good to go he completely ignored me. Didn’t say a thing.
