Office Lounge & Grill — Restaurant in Oscoda Township

Our group of 12 arrived at 4:50 pm. A group of I assume locals arrived at 5:00 pm and sat at a table they had reserved. There orders were taken before ours because as the waitress said, they were here before us. We finally ordered at about 5:10. Our group was split to two tables of six each. After a pretty lengthy wait our first table was served, then after another ten minutes, the rest of the guys at my table were served. After awhile the waitress came through to see if anyone needed another drink. I asked about my order, asking if they had to catch the fish, I had ordered fish and chips. She laughed and said she'd be right back with it. Twenty minutes later I was served and she warned me that it was very hot. She then went to our other table to deliver their bills, circled back to our table and asked if I would like a box??? I told her I had ordered it because I was hungry, so no, I don't want a box. I wolfed down most of the fish and maybe half of the fries as fast as I could so I wouldn't keep the guys waiting. Bottom line is despite us being a group of 12, the place as a whole didn't appear to be all that busy, so 1:35 minutes to get served is ridiculous. That was my first time in Oscoda and so also my first time in the Office Lounge. I may return to Oscoda but after this experience and reading many similar reviews citing extremely slow service, I won't return to the Office Lounge. In fairness, I will say the...

The food was awful. I ordered a chicken ceaser wrap and my husband got a Philly steak sandwich. The wrap had not dressing was so dry I was chocking to swallow it. He said he was like the frozen meal u get at AlDI and had not flavor. The waitress was so lazy she didn’t bring silverware to the day or are food. When she did come the the table it took her over 30 minutes to bring me dressing for my wrap. She stood behind the bar laughing for over 45mins after she gave us the bill and got pissed off when we went to the bar to finally pay so we could leave the place. It was also so dark in the place that you could barely see anything and the bathrooms were so dirty I wouldn’t have let my animal go to the bathroom there. We have been coming to The Office L & G for years, appreciating the food and service. However more recently it's been a disappointment, even more so today, prompting this review. After placing our order (beef nachos), it took over a 1/2 hour for delivery, even though they weren't busy. We had requested shredded cheese, versus cheese sauce, which our waitress had stated could be a substitution. The nacho arrived at room temperature with cold shredded cheese on top. After a few bites of frustration, I requested if my nacho could be heated. Another 8 minute wait for this, along with a bowl of lettuce, seeing they had forgotten to put any lettuce on the nacho.
