Sunrise Kava Cafe — Restaurant in Oscoda Township

Cute little cafe that served a variety of coffee options and food. There’s seating inside and outside, and the coffee bean table bar on the inside is nice touch. I got the Harry Potté latte and it was delicious, and hit the spot for anyone craving Carmel and toffee. The banana bread is another must have, if you’re looking for a moist dense treat! I also had the oatmeal and chicken salad wrap that personally were not my favorite. The oatmeal was a bit runny but had plenty of blueberries and the wrap was good but the chicken had a little bit of a strong salty taste. Bakery and coffee were great and the staff were welcoming! I so wanted to give this place 5 stars. We were camping just down the road and stopped here for lunch. The sandwiches were really good! But my Italian had no dressing and it said it comes on the side but nope. Also I said no tomatoe because it's an allergy. Luckily I always check my food. You could see tomatoe was placed on there and the seeds and a few small pieces were left. This if I digested the tomatoe could've put me in the er. Also I had such high expectations for my Harry Potte' blended but it fell short on flavor compared to others I've had. A nice place to stop by. This cafe has a pleasant atmosphere. Everyone is friendly and knows what vegan means, which is nice, especially living in northern Michigan. Very clean and has outdoor seating that allows dogs. Some things that I’ve got before that are vegan are: the veggie wrap (without cheese), autumn tea, and the vegan protein bar. I’d also like to add that I ordered two drinks that they were able to make vegan. They expressed that they can make almost all drinks vegan. I got a mocha and and protein shake.
