Subway — Restaurant in Oshtemo Charter Township

I would not recommend this location ever. Will not be coming here again and it is just down the street from where I live. There was a power outage due to a storm that hit Kalamazoo and it was a Friday at lunch time and it was busy and I understood that and I did not mind waiting my turn. They had a special running for that location only according to their sign which was a footlong sub, chips and a 20 oz drink for nine dollars and 99 cents which I thought was an amazing deal. The person that was making my sandwich was very pleasant. But, this is where the terrible reading comes from there was barely I mean barely any meat on my footlong sub. To the point that normally I eat a 6-inch and after eating the full sub I was still hungry as if I had nothing to eat because there was basically almost no protein. So I'm not sure if this is the way they always make their sandwiches so you get a bunch of bread, you get your veggies and your cheese if you want it and you don't get hardly any meat so not sure if this was because they were running a special and they were trying to skimp and save money or if this is just the way they operate. I came into this location on Saturday. It was the most peculiar and troubling experience I've had in any Subway. I walked in and stood at the ordering side for 5 minutes and no one acknowledged me or even looked my way. I started to question whether I was invisible or even alive. There are three people working, only one making sandwiches. One was slowly meandering back and forth with full bottles of condiments, another at the register. I thought maybe I did something to offend them, but I haven't been to this location before, and all I did was walk in and stand there quietly. I'm also not used to only one employee making the sandwiches, so I ask if someone is going to wait on me. The man at the register responded in a rude manner, telling me to be patient. I said I was just asking considering no one has even looked my way. I was genuinely curious, the store was not busy, and I was the only person standing there. The girl who made my sub was smiley and friendly, which I appreciated, even though it felt almost strange considering everything else. When I got to the register, the man refuses to accept my money, and looks at me as if I am the scum of the earth. I then say I'd like to pay for the person behind me, and he refuses. This store and many others are in violation with the contractual agreement they have in place with the corporate office pertaining to coupons. There is absolutely no reason at all that when I walk in with a coupon for a foot long sub for $6.99 and excludes only roast beef and the beast that I be told that I can only get the meatball or cold cut and when I point out what the coupon is for and what's excluded I get told that it is only at participating locations and that they don't participate. This is a direct violation of the contract they have with corporate headquarters you can not pick and choose what part of a coupon you honor it is either all or nothing.
