Pour Cocktail Bar and Bites — Restaurant in Otsego

Unfortunately, we must have come at a bad night. Having heard such great things about this place so far, I was disappointed when we were sat at our table for 10 minutes without so much as a word from anyone that our server would be right with us. It didn't help that we were sat by a employee who seemed to be having dinner with his family and had free rain of the place (drinks from bar and food from kitchen was all retrieved by him and not an actual server). Our waitress had zero personality and was very short with us (coming from a group that contains current servers with years of experience in the industry). No apologies about the slow service caused by an event (cookie decorating class with close to 20 people in attendance) which was definitely planned ahead and could have been planned for from a staff standpoint. We went in at dinner time on a Tuesday night, which should have been a normal busy time. There was amber 3 staff members working during the start of our visit. The food portions seemed small. My wife got a measly 4 or 5 pub fries with her fish and chips. We started off getting food without silverware. We had to nurse our drinks to make sure that they lasted the 20 minutes between visits from our server. At the end of the visit, our checks were dropped off and then she disappeared for close to 15 minutes. Our visit lasted close to 2 hours. Time that I wish I could get back based on...

Was excited to try this place, but was disappointed. We arrived waiting for 2 others in our party so we ordered a pretzel appetizer. Only to be told they were out of beer cheese soup that went along with it. So we ordered the pickle wraps & an old fashioned. Only to be told that we should order a different type of whiskey because the house whiskey wasn't very good. So we waited for our appetizer. Service was super slow. Our friends arrived. They ordered onion rings as an appetizer. Finally drinks arrived and then the onion rings, but no pick wraps. "sorry, we were out of pickles and had to run across the street to get some." Something I don't ever want to hear when I'm dining out. The 10 onion rings that did arrive were not worth the price paid. It should have been a heaping plate full. Service rarely came back to check drinks & never cleared any empty plates/glasses until we were completely done. Oh yeah... and only to hear that the next table over ordered the beer cheese soup and were given bowl fulls....

Update (6/17/22): Unfortunately I have to temporarily lower my rating to three stars based on recent changes to the menu. :( About 6 months ago they changed who sources their Bangers. The new ones are simply not as good. Then, last week, the removed the whiskey carrots and creamed kale from the menu which renders the Bangers and Mash an unrecognizable dish with much less flavor. On top of that, they also removed the Shepherds Pie effectively removing both dishes that my wife and I come here for. We have come here almost every Friday for the last two years and will probably stop coming much at all until these dishes come back in their original form. It is quite sad because the staff is great!

Drake's has some great food! The Bangers and Mash it outstanding! The Whisky Carrots and Creamed Kale that come with it are great as well. My wife loves the Shepherd's Pie. The live music (once per month...every third Friday at 7pm as it stands right now) is pretty entertaining as well. ...
