Rockwood’s sure knows how to take care of their guest! Best Wedding Venue!! They deserve 10 stars! The coordinators at Rockwood’s are amazing huge shout out to Lisa, Meagan, and Katie. We had to postpone our wedding 2 times due to Covid and these ladies have been so wonderful to work with. Best communication ever! They respond to emails and calls quickly! We did a plated meal that was served quick. The food was so good we are still getting compliments about it. I highly recommend the pot roast! The bartenders were knowledgeable and nice to all our guest! The venue is beautiful. All the twinkle lights really light up the room and make for pretty pictures. The venue and food cost are very reasonable too. We had Lisa as our wedding day coordinator. She went above and beyond! She made sure the day stayed on track and that things ran smoothly. They really do make everything so convenient for you and guest! 3 huge perks of getting married at Rockwood’s are 1: You can also have your ceremony there. They have indoor and outdoor options! 2: There is a hotel sharing the parking lot! 3: The biggest perk of all… We literally were able to drop off all our decorations 2 days in advance and they set up everything for you!! They also have a lot of beautiful decorations of theirs you can use. Then when the weddings over you can just leave and go to your hotel or next destination. They do all the cleanup for you! They box up your decorations, and you pick them up 1-3 days later. This was great for us. We have been to so many weddings where you see the families all cleaning up an hour before the wedding ends. Who needs that stress!?! We loved our wedding at Rockwood’s and highly recommend it to everyone. Great atmosphere, tasty food, very reasonable prices, and stress-free. Thank you for the best night we will...
Read moreThis place is going downhill. I moved to the area about 18 months ago. This place has steadily gone downhill. Food and service was great b when we first started going, both are slipping. The last visit was the straw that broke the camels back. We walk in the host ignores us as we are standing at the host stand for a few minutes. She does apologize when she realizes there are people standing there. She tells us there is a wait if 10-15 minutes. Not a surprise on a Saturday night. She takes our Nena and tells us to b have a seat. Next group walks in and is seated, then another. At this point I figure they had reservations. Now been about 20 minutes. Manager comes up and starts helping the hostess at this point. Another group comes in and is seated. I ask the manager if we b are on the list at point and he says. Yes, but they forgot to put you on the list originally. Oh.... No one said anything to us. The manager says sorry they are really new. Okay but your the manager maybe you would want to say something to the customers that were forgotten? We get our table at the 35 minute mark. We're seated, it takes about 10 minutes to get our drink orders taken. We order our food. I order the chicken and dumplings and my wife the chicken carbonara. When we get our food more disappointment. The carbonara sauce is a broken oily mess. The chicken and dumplings was the real disappointment. The sauce was crazy thick the vegetables were undercooked, the chicken was overcooked stringy and dry. You normally could make up for that with the sauce but it was so thick that it was almost inedible. The dumplings were pan fried crispy just set on top of the dish. The dumplings had good flavor but we're also super dense and doughy. I would not suggest this place, keep looking there are lots of other places close by...
Read moreStopped in around 5 pm and seated right away. At the time only one table was busy. However, in the 60 plus minutes we were there almost the entire dining area filled up. Was quite amazing to see how steady and quickly customers came in. We each had a small side salad which was definitely not small. The salad was very fresh and contained cucumbers, onions, peppers, lettuce and spinach. Salad dressing was also very tasty. For my entree went with the half BBQ smoked chicken. Was laid out very nicely on the plate and was delicious. Tender on the inside and had a slightly but not overpowering smoky taste. Provided us with different bottles of BBQ sauce from mild to very hot. Tried the medium strength sauce and it was very complimentary to the chicken. For my sides had the cucumber salad plus the Mac and cheese. Cucumber salad had a nice "kick" to it while the Mac and cheese was a perfect offset to the cucumber salad. In addition to our soft drinks they brought some fresh and warm french bread with butter. Way too much food but bread was boxed up and taken home. Only thing that kept this from a perfect score was my girlfriend thought her burger was a bit dry and lacked flavor. Maybe it was because she held the bacon from the burger which may have cut down on the taste. Great service from our main waitress, Snow and her peers. All were active in clearing our tables and very pleasant. First trip to Rockwoods in four years and was a nice experience. Hope to be back sooner than...
