Been here many times before and loved it. That's why i give the two starts versus one. My family's most recent visit makes me never want to go back. We went on Sunday 12/9 around 5 or 6. Now, hang on because this is going to get confusing. My family ordered at the drive-through and the person taking our order seemed to be confused and unsure of how to work the machine, so we had to order at least three times. Once we get to the window, the original guy gives us our drinks. Another guy comes over and hands us our food and we quickly realize that the order is wrong and we are missing one of our four meals. We tell the second guy this and he must have been confused or something too, because he disappeared with the first guy and had a young woman come over to resolve the issue that is easily fixable, usually. Adding now a third person makes this ordeal that much harder to explain what has been going on. The woman was rude and was almost insisting this was our fault. We say all we wanted was to add the fourth meal on and we'll pay for it and be on our way. She seemed annoyed but went ahead and did it. As she brought the food out she condescendingly says "we didn't charge you for this extra order". Confused we just say ok. She had some issue with our reply and then says "well did you want to pay for it?!" almost as if she wanted us to be more grateful for this "favor" she so "kindly" did for us. I'm sorry, you just don't talk to customers like the way she had. Very poor management and incredibly rude. She didn't even say anything as we left, just a rude stare. We left with our food almost knowing the fourth meal had probably been spit in. Once we got home, the food was horrible. My steak burrito was basically just a tortilla with salsa on it that had been filled with rice. I had, and I counted, only 6 small chunks of meat in my meal. Everyone else complained of the same issue. Over $40 for 4 people to eat a tortilla filled with rice. I hope this was just a one-time thing for them because this was pathetic. Maybe a new manager on duty would help. We probably won't be back to...
Read moreMy wife and I had nachos there, and liked it enough we came back 2 days later with our kids.
Staff is friendly, so is the environment, food is fresh, and everything is clean and tidy.
BUT, on the 2nd visit (Sunday 18th, 1pm) a Hispanic woman (20-23, 4'11") who was placing and taking tortillas from the spinner, reached up and shoved her hair back into her visor in-between handling tortillas, and kept her same gloves on. I later noticed the same woman cleaning the fountain area with cleansers/rags, and then went back to handling food again wearing the same gloves - I watched her after the first time.
Due to this, we ordered nothing using tortillas, and I just had some chips.
We liked it all well enough to go back, but will be watching carefully, and if we see such again, we won't return.
Clean and sanitary are a MUST, she needs retraining, and they need to stay focused, as this kind of thing can easily spoil appetites and attitudes of customers.
Beyond that, all was great, and hopefully they will keep...
Read moreIt’s on rare occasion that I visit such a gem of restaurant but a few days ago my experience here was amazing. It started off in line, I was greeted with a smile by an employee named Matthew. He took my order, gave me some dynamite suggestions, and complimented my choices! This young man is going places! Next came eating the food and getting the ambience of establishment. That first bite of burrito was heaven! In a world filled with bland burgers and unappetizing fried food we have this food that stimulates every sense into a swirling culinary experience. This restaurant is CLEAN! If one single piece of my pillow-ey burrito happened to fall on the floor I wouldn’t have thought twice about even picking it up, the 5 second rule definitely applies here. After finishing another cheerful employee named Carter came and cleaned off my table, offered the refill my drink, and asked how my meal was. I will be back! Thank you costa vida for the wonderful experience! You are in a class of your own! Until...
