I usually donât complain when a fast food restaurant gets an order wrong, especially in drive thru. I get it, things have to go fast, thatâs why itâs a drive thru. This is the THIRD TIME my order has been wrong. The first time I came through the drive thru, the order was right. I got the pick two/panera duet with a grilled cheese, tomato soup, and a French bag side. Everything was right that time, no complaints. About a week later I go through the drive thru again, asking for the same thing. I realized when I got home that I had no French bag side and none of the bread cubes that came with the soup. I shook it off, thinking it was just a one time order inaccuracy. A few days later I got again, being the Panera addict I am. Same thing happened, no French bag side, and none of the bread cubes. Started getting frustrated at that point, but shook it off because I know how hard the fast food industry can be with consistent order accuracies. Today, about a month after that second situation, the service was better, the employee over the speaker was actually nice. I made sure this time (in case I was ordering wrong) to watch him but my order on the screen, everything was right. I get home and same thing, three whole consecutive times. This time I didnât even ask for the bread side because I just had a feeling it wasnât gonna be in there anyways, so why bother? He charged me for one anyways, still didnât even put it in the bag. I didnât even ask for one. I even donated an extra 50 cents to the donation thing or something, still went out with the same incorrect order. Iâm better off going to a location 20 minutes the other way from home, as long as the order is correct. This staff canât do anything correct it seems like. Those who do, respect to them, they probably go unnoticed. Never...
Read moreThis Panera location has potentially the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I ordered a take out order to be ready at 6:35. I arrived at 6:30, and started waiting. Around 6:45, I receive a notification that âmy order has been delayed.â No issue there, I can wait. I wait until 7:10. At this point, I finally ask where my order is, and this is where the ridiculousness starts. They manager on duty LIES to me, and tells me my order was taken by another customer, which is completely impossible, as I had been at the restaurant the whole time, even before receiving the âorder delayedâ notification. I chose to let it go, as I had no desire to get into it. Finally I get my food and drive home with it, only to realize that my entire order was not included in the bag. An absolute clown parade of an establishment all around, making mistakes and then lying about them to try and get out of any accountability. I was told I would be receiving a full refund but even then I will never visit this location again, and I recommend you...
Read moreWent into Panera Bread (7871 West 159th Street) for dinner with the wife. Placed our order. Of course, they spun the display around wanting to know what tip we are giving. We opted for a $2 tip. After a minute or two they returned and told us that they are out of tuna and could not make us the tuna sandwich we ordered and already paid for. We said, no problem, must refund us our money and we will leave. The manager refunded us the money for our food, but decided to keep the tip. We explained that a gratuity is for good service and/or good food â for which we received neither. He stood fast and refused to refund the $2. We contacted Panera corporate and they said that some stores do this and they have no control over it. Here is my tip. DONâT TIP UNTIL AFTER THE MEAL. You decided if the food and/or service deserves a tip and then tip or donât tip. Donât get fool into tipping before food or service. We wonât ever go back...
